Thank you guys so much for the 700+ reads, I decided I would try to update as fast as possible because the last chapter wasn't too great and over 700 fucking reads. What?

Anyway, I wanted to thank everyone who is continuing with this story. I'm so sorry for updating so slow, I do plan on writing as much as possible this month and next month because I have a lot of school days off. But, thank you and here's the story.

"What time is dinner gonna be over?" Lucas asked me over the phone.

I leaned on the edge of the sinktop in the bathroom of the restaurant. "I'm not sure, maybe eight-thirty, maybe nine."

He groaned, "make it go faster. I need you by eight forty-five."

"For what?"

"Number twenty-five." He told me.

I furrowed my brows, confused. "Stop using numbers and just tell me."

He chuckled, "I'm gonna let you get back to dinner with your family."

I sighed, "bye. I'll let you know when I'm on my way home."

"Alright, have fun. I'll see you in a bit." I took the phone off my ear and hung up. I left the bathroom and sat down at the table with my parents and grandparents.

The restaurant was quiet and the people in here were snobby and rich much like my mother's family.

"Alex, what do you plan on majoring in?" My grandmother asked me.

I shrugged my shoulders after grabbing a piece of bread from the center of the table. "I'm going in as undecided. I'm gonna explore majors for a year and see what I like the most."

"Well, that's different. What about sororities? Are you going to try for one? If you do, I think you should try to get in with the sorority your mother and I were in."

"I'm not a sorority kind of girl. I rather go to the study in my dorm than be apart of it all."

"That's unfortunate. We could've gotten you in."

"Yeah, thanks for the offer though." My grandmother is convinced I'm going to the same college as she did. I'm going to college in New York.

"Mom, you know she's never been into those things. She's humble like her father." My mom explained.

I nod my head and pursed my lips, "yeah."

"Let's go. Let's go. Let's go." Lucas said over the phone as I sat in the backseat of my parents car. "I'm right outside your house."

"Two minutes. Be patient."

Mom looked back at me, "what's the rush, Alex?"

"Lucas is taking me somewhere tonight." I told her as Luke rant in my ear and I put the phone on mute.

"Isn't it a bit late to be going out."

"Mom, please? This is our last summer together. We need this... I need this, he's my best friend."

She mumbled, "he's seems more like a friend to me."

I laughed, "mom! We're just friends."

She threw her hands up, "alright. You can go, just be careful."

"Thank you." She turned around.
