Distant sounds of engines could be heard coming closer and closer.

They gave each other side glances and waited for the guards to emerge form the flap that was separating them.

Murphy came in, looking smug as ever but also guilty.

When he laid his eyes on Bellamy his whole expression changed. He casted his gaze down and didn't meet his eyes, too ridden with guilt to face him.

He had betrayed them twice now. Both times because he had believed Clarke was dead and there was no hope.

"Hey there." The girl that had been guarding them turned around once Murphy had announced his arrival.

She quickly charged at him only to be kicked down by Jade who had followed in after him.

Jade pointed the gun at the girl as she laid on the floor before slowly making her way over to Clarke.

"Josephine?"

Clarke hesitated and looked over at Bellamy. He watched her carefully pleading with eyes for her to say no. He shook his head slightly in hopes of convincing her not to.

She had to look away. The look he was giving her wanted to make her say no, but she couldn't. For the sake of him and their people.

Bellamy watched as Clarke looked away and nodded her head. His heart dropped and he shook his head in hopes of trying to shake the image of Clarke dying again out of his head.

He had believed so many times now that she was truly gone and during those times he had his heart broken. The only reason he hadn't given up was for her. He knew that if he gave up she would be far from proud of him. Clarke would've been disappointed that he gave up.

Jade bent down to Clarke's level and began to untie the knot holding her hands together. She tired to calm her breathing as Jade took the gag out of her mouth and mentally prepared herself for what was about to come.

She looked over at Bellamy to hopefully convince him that she would be fine, but the boy only tore his gaze away from her, not being able to watch.

Her heart ached for him. She knew what he was thinking. That she would get herself killed and fail to protect and save the others, but he needed to trust her. She needed his trust to save their people.

Clarke looked away and brought herself in the same mindset as Josephine and thought like the girl would. "Well done Jade." She had on the same sickening smile she remembered Josephine had before turning her head to face Murphy.

"You just can't pick a side, can you John?" She brightened her smile and waited for his reaction.

"The only reason I'm doing this, is because Emori dies if I don't." He stated firmly. He tried to keep a strong composure in front of her, thinking it was still Josephine. He couldn't let the girl get to him again, not while Emori's life is on the line.

He looked down to Bellamy who had been watching the whole thing unfold. "Echo's in trouble too, I'll do what I can for her."

Bellamy thought for a second about something happening to Echo. What was he thinking? He left all of the people he loved to die. Now he would face the consequences.

But he didn't regret it. How could he? He had managed to bring Clarke back and kill Josephine for good. To him, that was all that mattered.

He watched as Jade pointed a gun at the girl who was still on the floor. "This one's mine." Clarke urged, taking the gun form her hands.

She walked forward and pointed the gun in the girls direction before motioning for jade and Murphy to leave. Jade hesitated but nodded otherwise. She left with one look back at Clarke and a glare sent to Murphy's way.

"Is she really gone this time." Murphy asked standing close to Clarke and watching her hesitantly.

She thought of a smart ass response before smirking and nodding. "I told you, I could do it. She was too easy."

Murphy nodded and took a glance at Bellamy before leaving the tent. He sent him an apologetic look motioning to his loss of both Echo and Clarke while he in turn received a glare.

Clarke checked twice to see if they were properly gone before breaking her aim from the girl and taking a shot at the ground.

The girl had plain shock written on her face. She put all the pieces together and everything seemed to click into place as she stood.

"She's not Josephine." She stated, eyeing Clarke carefully.

"No, she's not." Bellamy said proudly, answering for Clarke.

She ran over to Bellamy and knelt in front. He watched her carefully as she took the gag out and leaned forward so she could easily slip it off. "Clarke..." he sighed.

Clarke knew where this was going. He was going to tell her it was too dangerous, she didn't need to do this. But she did. She needed to save their people.

He had made it clear earlier that he only cared about his people that were still in Sanctum and she would make it her priority to bring them back. To make him happy and to keep them safe.

Even if it killed her.

"No, Bellamy. I need to do this." She started. He gave her the same look he had earlier and began pleading with his eyes.

"I need to save our people." She stated firmly, trying to hide any emotion she knows she might show. She reached her hand forward and touched his cheek.

He was still pleading and his eyes were beginning to water. She knew if she stayed any longer she might accidentally slip up and end up staying and not going along with the plan. It was now or never.

She gave him a reassuring smile before looking over at Octavia and giving her a nod. She nodded back and Clarke began to stand.

"Don't worry Bellamy, I'll find Echo and make sure she's safe." She let go of his cheek and he immediately began to lose all confidence in the plan.

She turned around and took a deep breath, readying herself to face Russell again. She could do this.

"Clarke..." Bellamy reached up as far as he could with his restraints and pulled Clarke down by her hand.

They were face to face now. Closer than they had ever been in their time of knowing each other.

"Please, be careful."

She gave him one last reassuring smile before nodding her head and squeezing his hand.

"You too."

That was it for Bellamy. He reached forward and captured her lips in his.

Clarke was shocked at the suddenness but eventually gave in and began to respond by moving her lips in sync with his.

It was the best kiss since Lexa. It was better even. He was her soulmate and she needed to live... for him.

Bellamy pulled away to soon. Tears were pooling at his eyes now as he stared at Clarke.

"Please don't die." He whimpered. "I can't lose you again."

Clarke wiped away at the tears that were falling down his cheeks and rested her hand on his cheek.

Now she knew... if she died, for real this time, it would break him.

"I love you..." she whispered.

She didn't wait for him to respond and immediately got up and walked out to join Jade and Murphy. "Let's go."

Bellamy watched as Clarke left. He trusted her completely and believed that she could do this, but he didn't trust himself. If he failed on his part of the plan, she would die... he couldn't have that happening.

"I love you, too."
