*A oneshot of what might've happened if Clarke never walked away and they finally got their peace*
Bellamy hurriedly searched the camp for the girl with blue eyes and blonde hair, pulling over anyone who might know where she is.
"Abby..." Bellamy halted in front of Abby, breathless while holding his knees for support. "Have you... seen... Clarke?"
She gave him a questioning stare, wondering why it seemed to be so important for him to find her daughter, before replying. "Have you checked the infirmary? What's going on Bellamy?"
Bellamy senses the tone of panic in her voice, asking the seconds question and noticed straight away why she might've been panicking.
"Everything's fine, I just need to talk to Clarke..." Abby continued to watch him with hesitation and he realised he needed to clarify. "About last night... let's just say, I might've said some weird things."
And he was gone, headed in the direction of the infirmary in search of Clarke.
Bellamy was terrified of what might happen when he would finally find her. What had he said last night. He remembered briefly walking into her room and lying down next to her, stroking the hair out of her face, but everything after that was a blur.
He looked through the infirmary windows upon reaching it and began scanning around the room to look for Clarke.
He spotted her, standing in front of Monty, seemingly deep in a conversation.
Monty seemed to notice him as he walked through the door and quickly cut the conversation between them short. As he walked out the door, he patted Bellamy on the shoulder before closing the door behind them, giving more privacy.
Clarke only just noticed his presence when he coughed to clear his throat. Her head shot up at the gruff sound of his voice, before ducking her head again, trying to minimise the eye contact between them.
"Clarke..." He started before she could walk out the door. "Can I talk to you?"
She seems to hesitate before nodding and slowly turning around to face him.
"What's up?" The nervousness in her voice was evident as she spoke and Bellamy almost winced when he hear it. Had what he said last night, really been that bad?
"Umm... about last night..." he started.
Clarke cut him off as soon as she knew where this was going. She shut down anything he had to say about last night, any excuse. "What about last night? Nothing happened... I gotta go."
She turned again but was once avian stopped by Bellamy's voice.
"Clarke, listen." It was more firm this time and he noticed how it might've come off as aggressive. "Please..."
Clarke visibly tensed at the tone of his voice and he could see her shoulders rise as she took a breath in, trying to calm herself. She turned to face him and he saw the way this was making her uncomfortable.
He watched her take a deep breath before opening her eyes and waiting for him to speak. "Look, I don't know what happened or what I said last night... but-."
Clarke cut him off as if wanting to get rid of the awkward tension from the conversation between them. "Nothing happened, I didn't even see you last night."
With that said, she turned and headed out the door, leaving Bellamy in his state of confusion.
What did Clarke mean that he hadn't said anything last night, not even seen him? He could vividly remember himself stumbling over to her while she spoke with Monty and dragging her into his tent. But then everything after that was a blur, he didn't know if Clarke had actually left as soon as he tried to bring her to his tent or if she had stayed and he really had said something to her, something that would've caused her to want to forget about everything.
Before he knew what he was doing, he was out again, looking for Clarke. This search wasn't hard as he knew where she might be, but knowing Clarke, she would do anything in her will to avoid him.
"Clarke!" He spotted her through the camp and nearly every head turned to look at the owner of the voice. When they realised it was Bellamy they all went back to what they were doing.
He could tell Clarke was trying to find a way out of the conversation, but he wouldn't let her this time. He walked to her in less than a few seconds and grabbed her by the hand, dragging her to his tent, like he had done the previous night.
"Tell me what I said last night." He let her hand go and crossed his arms over his chest to appear more intimidating.
"Like I said-." She crossed her arms and he could tell as she stood straighter and flipped her hair back, that she was about to lie.
"Please... don't lie to me Clarke, I remember bringing you here."
Her arms fell to her sides as he mouth hung open slightly and her composure faltered slightly.
"Bellamy..." she sighed before placing herself on the edge of his bed. "Last night you were drunk... you told me you loved me and a bunch of finer things that I would like not to mention, but obviously... like I said, you were drunk." She smiled sadly as she hopped of the bed and made her way towards the entrance. "You weren't in your right mind."
Bellamy processed this as she started to open the flap to the tent, but something seemed to click in his brain when he realised she was leaving.
"Maybe not..." Clarke stopped and turned to face him in the slightest bit. "But I knew what I was saying."
Clarke sighed and moved forward towards him. "Bell-."
"It's true... I love you, Clarke."
Clarke stood frozen, unknowing what to say to him, whether he was being genuine or not. But knowing him, he probably was. It wasn't like Bellamy to lie.
"I'm in love with you... and you don't have to say it back, but I'm hoping maybe one day you'll be able to." He gave her a weak smile which melted her heart.
Three words, eight letters, that she had been dying to hear since she first realised her feelings for him and now... she can finally say them too.
She leapt forwards into Bellamy's arms and smashed her lips onto his, kissing him with as much passion and love she could give.
He was hesitant, not knowing and fully comprehending what was happening and kissing back a few seconds late.
But he did, and she was happy... they brought were.
"I love you too, Bellamy."
She placed her lips back on his, snaking her arms around his neck while his went around her waist, pressing her close to him.
"I'm in love with you too."
