el squeezed a pillow against her head. it was her 12th night in the byers house and had the worst sleep possible. many reasons covering why, but one was nancy wheeler and her step brother johnathan.
"ugh!"
el over lapsed her bed covers and got out of bed. she stomped to will's room and opened the door.
"w-will!"
will jumped away,
"what the hell el! what's wrong?"
el rolled her eyes,
"it's happening a-again...with nancy and johnathan-"
without warning, joyce switched the light on in will's room,
"what's the commotion?"
will got out of bed.
"uh-johnathan and-"
will hit el's arm,
"i mean uh just johnathan is being l-loud."
joyce furrowed her eyebrows and looked at the clock,
"i mean that's odd. it's 5 am on a monday."
will giggled,
"mom, johnathan's job is messed up, plus it's summer so he's having...fun."
el giggled with him.
"will what did we say about love jokes? and nancy isn't around."
will looked down,
"well...okay just i'm worried for him."
joyce walked down the hallway to his door and knocked his door.
johnathan was in a panic and nancy fell off the bed.
"what was that johnathan? is someone there?"
johnathan put his clothes back on,
"u-uh mom i'm fine just getting ready for work,"
nancy closed her eyes in frustration.
"oh okay honey."
joyce walked back to will and el,
"he's okay."

"micheal where is your sister!"
karen shook mike awake. mike sprung up.
"what holly?"
karen chuckled,
"of course not she's asleep. just-have you seen nancy? she's been gone since this morning."
"mom she's spending the night at johnathans they're probably doing some stuff or you know-"
karen laughed,
"okay enough go back to bed. i'll call joyce."
mike smiled then suddenly frown when he noticed that el knows what nancy and johnathan do...

the party were all sitting in the basement, reminiscing on how they used to play d&d every day.
when everyone was occupied, mike pulled el aside,
"el?"
el smiled at mike.
"yeah?" mike sat her down on the couch. he didn't believe that he was about to do this.
"so...nancy was at your house last night right?"
el slowly nodded, "yeah what about it?"
mike cleared his throat,
"what were they doing? i was-i was worried about nance. she was gone for a while."
el goggled her eyes at mike and laughed,
"they were-they were having some uh-fun."
max heard and looked over to mike and el,
"hey. who's having some fun?"
mike widened his eyes,
"leave us alone max!"
lucas interfered,
"max just get over here." mike looked back to el.
"what do you mean?"
el giggled,
"like-uh good screams..."
mike slapped himself and laughed,
"you're kidding right?"
he whispered.
el laughed with him and nodded,
"me and will woke up a-at 5 am and y-your sister was there with him."
mike laughed with her,
"so wait they were-doing it that early, in your house and lied about it? nancy is crazy h-honestly."
"mike?"
mike looked up at el and smiled,
"y-yeah?" el bit her lip.
"what's the uh r-real name for you know...i'm good screams?"
mike widened his eyes.
"i mean uh-max told me t-that isn't the real word."
mike's jaw dropped,
"well-you know what let's not get into that. okay?"
el smiled,
