Chapter 9

" if you know me, you better run for dear life "

Anna went to open the door, she was surprised at first to see Mr Wolf, before turning into her flirty mood.
" em..., can I help you " she stammered
" can I come in? " Jace asked masking his irriratation
" of course " she opened the door wide for him to come in. She led him to the sitting room, her families were there also.
" oh, hello Mr Wolf " Isa greeted
" evening " Mr Wolf said in greetings
" mom, dad, meet Mr Wolf our lecturer "
" hello " Mrs McDaniels said.
" you are they one that took care of Rose? " Mr McDaniels asked
" yes, I just want to check up on her if she is doing well" Jace answered
" am fine, am off to my room" she said in annoyance and left.
" sorry about her attitude " Mrs McDaniels apologized on behalf of Rose
" am used to her " he said " I will be off now"
" thanks "
Isa and Anna saw him to the door and he left.

During the night Rose woke up from a bad dream. She saw herself in the woods running and three wolves were after her, she was nearly out of breathe.
Her leg got stuck between two roots making her to fall flat on her face, she heard a loud growl from one of the wolf. She turned to see the wolves stopped in front of her and one of the wolf came forward to her and she screamed waking up.
She looked at her time and discovered it was just half pass 12, she stoop up from the bed and went down stairs, she went to the fridge to get a cold bottle water.
She took a drink when she heard a painful growl. She looked around the kitchen, the sound was coming from outside. She dropped the bottle water and put on her phone flashlight, she walked to the back door that faced the woods.
She opened the door with caution and just couldn't stop herself from checking things out. Something was hurt and maybe she can help. She walked out barefooted to the garden she stopped in her tracks when she heard another growl. She went in the direction and went further in the woods.
She stopped again, why was she here? What exactly was she trying to do? She hates dogs that growls, she heard the sound again but this time it was silent and painful.
She went behind a tree she stopped when she saw the animal, it was bigger than a dog. It must be hurt somewhere. She flashed her light on it and it gave a low growl in warning.
" just calm down and let me see your cut, you won't eat me right? Am not that sweet " she moved closer to it slowly.
The animal tilt its head to a side observing her more like mocking her. Well now animals mock her.

" calm down, though I hate dogs... " the animal growled " ah, calm down " she bent down on her knees and crawled to it " where are you hurt? "
She asked as if it can actually hear and understand her. She saw blood on the black fur, it was a black wolf, no other color could be seen on it, and it was shinny through the moonlight, hold on, wolf of all animals?
She torn a piece from her clothes and tied it on the front leg that was hurt, the wolf whined. " easy now "
She tied it secured, and touched its soft fur, she was surprised it has not eaten her. She stood up and it did to. It was taller than her 5'7 feet, she has never seen a wolf this size,
" i have to go " she turned to the wolf and shook her head.
" this must be a dream surely, or I must be dream walking " now she is going crazy, she walked back the way she came not looking back at the harmless wolf.
" you not hurting me does not mean I like you or anything like you, whatever this is all a dream, a useless, funny dream."

The next morning, Rose got up to get ready for school, she went to take her bath, she saw her dirty feet, how come?
She wondered how come her feet were dirty, what was she doing outside late at night?
She went back to her room and saw her stained white duvet, she really was out yesterday but she thought she was dreaming.
She left home early and made her way to school, she went to an empty room to rest before class begin.
She jerked up in alert, she checked her time and discovered it was 11, she was so late for her classes, she couldn't find her cellphone on her she must have forgotten it at home.
She got up and left the empty class, she avoided people's gaze, she went to her locker to take het books for next class after lunch.
" Rose! Where the freaking hell were you? " Isa asked slamming her locker closed
Rose turned to her " why do you care? "
" Mr Wolf gave us an earful... "
" am not interested in that" Rose brushed her off, walking away. She ran into someone who steadyed her from falling.
" are you okay? "
Rose looked up at him, this was the first time a guy apart from Toby will be speaking to her.
" hello? "
" am good" Rose said blushing, she hid her face with her hair.
" am Chris "
" Rose " they shook hands and he gave her a charming smile " I got to get to class "
" see you around Rose"
" Yea" she walked away down the hallway.
" Rose! " another voice called.
She stopped, what's with people calling her name? Toby came to stand in front of her.
" oh, hi "
" where have you been? " he demanded, his eyes going blank
" Toby? "
" where? " his eyes came back to normal and he repeated his question.
" in a class, I slept off " she shrugged
" we have scearched all over for you "
" 'we?' And who are that we? "
" my brother and i "
" why will he be looking for me? "
" maybe you should ask him yourself " Toby said looking past Rose.
She turned to see what Toby was staring at and her jaw dropped.
