The months that followed Brian and Mia's retirement into happy beach life were hectic. Luke and I decided that we did, actively want to try and have a baby. I took care of all of the medical precautions and necessities, then it was all in due time. Once I figured out that I was, in fact pregnant, I wanted to do something cute to tell Luke and Samantha. I scoured the internet for something and wracked my brain trying to figure it out when it finally hit me.
After talking about growing our family, Luke decided that he wanted to buy a plot of land for a new house and have it built from the ground up to our specific liking. Construction was well underway when I found out that I was pregnant and I had a bright idea to use that in my favor. We are supposed to do a walkthrough soon and I have an idea for the reveal to Sam, Luke, and Lisa.
Marcus, our contractor, is a friend of Luke's. I asked him to help me set up the surprise so that I could have everything ready when Luke got there. I had ordered some yellow 'caution' police tape, along with some thin yellow rope, and a small chalkboard. The tape should be up on the door and the rope is to hang the chalkboard. On it, I wrote 'caution, caution, Nursery under construction. Opening November'. My nerves are a little frayed, but I'm very ready for this.

I had my phone out as soon as we walked in the house. Luke thought I was recording a video to show Kaylee and Mia, but I wanted to record their reactions. This is gonna be the video that I'll send to the rest of the family to finally let them know that it's my turn! The closer we got to the door the more anxious I got.
"Foster! What's up with the yellow tape? You didn't tell me about any problems." Luke said when he saw the bright yellow from down the hallway.
"That? Oh, that's special circumstances." Marcus replied, him and the rest of his team were all excited too.
"What kind of circumstances? We didn't pencil in any changes." Luke argued as he got closer.
"Mi amor, is everything okay?" I asked, handing my phone to one of the guys on the team.
"I don't . . . what's this . . . what nurs . . ."
"Oh my god! You're pregnant!" Lisa shouted as Luke stood there staring at the door.
"You're having a baby? We're having a baby!" Sam shouted, wrapping her arms around my waist and laying her cheek on my belly. That made Luke break out of his stupor.
"You're pregnant? They're really building a nursery? You're really building a damn nursery? You're really pregnant?" Luke asked, going back and forth between Marcus and me.
"Yup!" Marcus smiled.
"You're pregnant?" he asked me.
"I'm pregnant." I said, as the tears started blurring my vision.
"We're having a baby?"
"We're having a baby."
"We're having a baby!" he roared, picking me up and kissing me repeatedly.
