Moments (Jenlisa One Shots)

"can't sleep?" jennie snaps out of her reverie when she heard that familiar voice. lisa's.

jennie turns to see lisa on the doorway between the room and the balcony, clad in a sweater and a blanket in her hand. jennie nods and signals lisa to take a seat beside her on the couch.

lisa wraps the blanket around them and encircles her arm languidly on jennie's shoulder as jennie almost immediately snuggles into lisa's body.

"you brought your camera." jennie states when she caught a sight of the device beside lisa. lisa picks it up and flicks it open, scanning through the gallery.

"yup. want me to take your picture?" lisa offers but jennie shakes her head no.

lisa stops at a certain picture of jennie she took when they just arrived in hawaii. she smiles to herself thinking how cute jennie looked in this particular photo. "adorable."

jennie peeks at the camera and then at lisa. "stop going heart eyes on me now, lili."

lisa chuckles and continues scanning as the silence settles between them. a comfortable one. once finished, lisa puts the camera down and readjusts her position.

"i love hawaii." lisa randomly speaks causing jennie to chuckle. she looks up to see lisa with her eyes closed.

"me too."

"hmm. i love the beach. the water is just so blue, so calming. kind of reminds me of times like now, where you are tucked in my arms as we both enjoy each other's company. you calm me."

jennie feels herself blushing when she hears lisa say those words and she tries to mask it by teasing lisa, "are you seriously trying to be romantic right now?"

"but you know what else i love? i love it whenever i look up and see the clear sky. it provides me a sense of comfort in a way which helps me clear my mind, yet i look at you, see you smiling widely⁠— genuine happiness in your eyes, and it struck me. the beautiful sky pales in comparison to you. you are my clarity."

lisa further pulls jennie closer into her and jennie lays her head on lisa's chest.

"i also love the sun. so warm and bright like how my world seems to be whenever you are around. you are my sun. my warmth."

"speaking of the sun, did i mention how good you look sun-kissed and all? a sun-kissed jennie kim has got to be one of my favorites though it annoys me to know that i am not the only one who's had the chance to kiss your skin."

"you are crazy." jennie laughs out loud. lisa being jealous is normal but the reason being the sun? totally insane.

"i am kidding okay? but really you look absolutely gorgeous." lisa whispers while softly running her hands along the length of jennie's arm.

jennie feels herself blushing profusely. she can never get used to lisa's sweet words.

"thank you."

"i also realized how i love sunflowers when we visited that farm. and like sunflowers, i promise to have my eyes always trained on you like how a sunflower always follows the sun."

"i absolutely love the rainbow the way i love you. because like the rainbow, you brought all shades of color into my life, filling me with different emotions i never knew existed until you came."

jennie lets lisa fill her entire system and silently listens.

"sunrise and sunset. i am fascinated with how the light meets the dark creating a beautiful mix of orange, yellow and pink. symbolizing the beginning and ending,"

lisa halts her words and looks down at jennie— their eyes meeting and both could swear to have felt some type of spark. "symbolizing you, my beginning and my ending." lisa mumbles.

the intensity jennie saw in lisa's eyes is too strong that she finds herself breaking the eye contact and hiding her red face on lisa's shoulder.

"the stars. i love how the night sky is littered with millions of stars. uncountable. somehow reminds me of how in love i am with you. unmeasurable." lisa kisses jennie's forehead then her nose.

"moon reminds me of you. you are my light when my world is pitch black. how you have always been there for me in times of darkness, watching over me. and for that i can never be thankful enough. thank you for being my moon."

"mhmm..."

words. how powerful can they be. jennie sees herself agreeing that words are the most powerful drugs used by mankind.

lisa's words serving as her drugs, jennie finds herself addicted.

"i've been thinking about all these as i tried to sleep but telling you everything right now, it kind of baffles me,"

"baffles you? why?"

"i don't know, i guess i just realized the main reason why i've come to fully appreciate all the things i said,"

lisa holds jennie's cheek, willing her to look up before placing a soft kiss on her lips. jennie feels her eyes watering from the emotion and sincerity she saw in lisa's eyes.

"you made me see things in a different perspective. you are my perception."

"so let me rephrase my sentence. i love hawaii...

because of you."
