it is the sixteenth of december in the year twenty nineteen, few more days before christmas and the new year.

it is cold. chilly. snowing even. and what better way to spend the afternoon than to lay in bed covered with thick blankets and fluffy pillows with a mellow music softly playing.

only, something feels quite off. something's missing.

someone. lisa corrects herself.

carefully placing louis, the newest addition to her growing family of cats, on the free space on her bed from having slept on her chest, lisa reaches for her phone, tapping on the messages app, she quickly sends a text to the person at the top of the list.

hey.

what?

huh? grumpy?

no.

woke up at the wrong side of the bed? or without me in bed? ;>

what do you want

hmm

stop texting me if you're not gonna tell

chill babe lol,, come over???

i feel lazy and you're like 5 floors away ugh,, why

to cuddle. i need cuddles. your cuddles.

cuddles

cuddles

cuddles

fine. only because you're annoying.

and because you love me.

lisa put her phone down expecting jennie not to respond. her girlfriend seems really cranky today. her phone vibrates once and she checks on it as a soft smile forms on her lips.

that, too.

staring at the ceiling mindlessly, waiting for jennie, she hears faint voices pierce through the silence of her place.

her mom's and jennie.

greeting each other and making small talk before lisa hears footstep sounds increasing. the door opens slowly and a pokerfaced jennie, clad in a white sweater with her hair half up, appears staring at a grinning lisa on the bed.

"c'mere c'mere nini," lisa softly speaks so as not to wake up little louis, raising her arms to coax jennie even more.

jennie rolls her eyes, smiling as she drags her feet towards the bed and into lisa's arms. falling languidly into her neck.

"why are you such a kid," she murmurs into lisa's skin.

lisa smiles and drapes her arms on jennie's body, rubbing her back softly. "hmm... i was thinking, before i texted you, how it is such a nice day to just lounge around and—"

"damn right. i was about to fall asleep when you messaged me, you annoying kid."

lisa chuckles at jennie's sleepy voice.

"so as i was saying, i realized how it was a perfect lazy day today, with my comfortable duvet and pillows and my cats but it still felt lacking though,"

jennie raises her head only for lisa to chuckle once more. jennie's eyes are half closed and it looks like they're about to shut completely any second now. "lacking? of what?"
