inspired by Dua Lipa's Homesick

***

Here, where the sky's falling

I'm covered in blue

I'm running and I'm crawling

Fighting for you

Lisa misses Jennie. Especially now as she is staring out the window, with the rain pouring. She reminisces the times the brunette and her are just lying on the bed cuddled up in their blanket on weathers like these, both enjoying the gloomy weather, the sound of the rain. Jennie would always lay her head on Lisa's chest listening to her heartbeats. Lisa misses the scent of Jennie's hair, the scent of comfort - the scent of her girl.

"I miss you..." she whispers

When the rain stops, then, darling, what will I do?

--

You give me a reason, something to believe in

I know, I know, I know

You give me a meaning, something I can breathe in

I know, I know, I know

"Just a few more days babe," Jennie assures her.

Lisa smiles at her phone. She feels lonely to be only looking at Jennie on her screen, she feels sad talking to her like this, she wants the brunette beside her or infront or wherever, she just wants her to actually be there... with her.

She misses her, she misses how everything would feel right when the girl is around, how everything makes sense, how her heart thumps, how her presence gives her comfort and how one look from the girl makes her calm but at the same time quickens her heart beats. Ironic.

"I know."

After the call ended, she feels the loneliness creep into her again. The familiar cold when Jennie isn't around envelops her. She sighs and shakes her head.

"I miss you..."

But I wish I was there with you

Oh I wish I was there with you

--

It's a bittersweet feeling

Longing, and I'm leaving

I go, I go, I go

Lisa softly hums along the song playing right now. The song hits her straight in the heart. All she feels right now is longing. She longs for Jennie. So much. She longs to see her catlike eyes, her cute nose, her squishy cheeks, the mole above her eye, her lips that taste like honey, her gummy smile... her.

It truly is a bittersweet feeling. She feels hollow inside just by thinking that Jennie is miles away from her, how they are oceans apart, how they are on a different country, on a different continent. She hates thinking that Jennie is on the other side of the world out of her reach - out of her grasp. But thinking of the brunette also makes her stomach flutter. Yes, it hurts to think about their distance from each other but just the thought of Jennie, no matter how sad or negative it is, makes her smile. Jennie makes her smile no matter what the situation is.

"I miss you..."

--

All my dreams have come true

Still, nothing means nothing

Without you, you

Lisa realized how worthless everything is when Jennie isn't in the picture. How all her accomplishments don't matter, how her dreams could be regarded as nothing when Jennie isn't there. How her achievements are meaningless when she has no one to share it with. Sure her friends are there, her family even but it just doesn't make it. There is still something missing. And she only knows one person who could actually make her feel complete. Her Jennie.

Jennie is her dream. Her person.

"I fucking miss you..."

--

Few days without Jennie, she's going crazy. And her listening to Dua Lipa's song Homesick isn't helping at all. It just makes her feel even more hollow inside.

Funny how she could relate to this song when she isn't the one who actually left. She feels homesick while in her home in Korea. She feels homesick even when she's around people whom she considers her family. And only then she realized what home actually means.

Home means Jennie. Anywhere could be her home. Wherever she may ever be, in a foreign country, in an island, in a desert - just wherever, as long as she's with Jennie.

Because, she realized, Jennie is her home.

I miss you.

Lisa groaned when she heard a knock on her door. She lazily gets up and checks the time. Her eyes widen, it's 3 in the morning. Who ever that person is, she better prepare herself for the blonde's wrath for waking her up in the middle of her sleep. She stood up, brows furrowed and walked towards the door. She twisted and opened the knob to shout at whoever the person on the other side is.

"It's 3 in the morning, what do you fucki--" Lisa stopped as she saw those familiar eyes she longed to see, the gummy smile she missed, and the person she's been dying to be with again. Without second thoughts, she wrapped her arms around the brunette engulfing her in a really tight hug.

She didn't know Jennie already arrived. She didn't bother checking her phone because it just makes her miss the girl more. (She checks her phone and just stares at Jennie's pictures in France all day.)

"Babe too tight..." Jennie chuckled but Lisa didn't heed her any attention instead she captured the brunette's lips for a searing kiss pouring all her love and emotions into it. The kiss was so passionate that Jennie felt herself tearing up. She kissed back with equal passion, if not more.

Pulling apart, Lisa leaned her forehead against Jennie's and they both just stared into each other's eyes. Communicating using it, showing their love for each other through it. They stayed like that for a while, taking all the time in the world. A smile crept up Jennie's face that made Lisa's heart beat madly.

"I'm home, Lisa." Jennie says.

"No love, I am. I'm home."

I missed you.
