Moments (Jenlisa One Shots)

jisoo's birthday. two days after the news that shook the world - but not as much as it shook lisa's world.

thinking about it still pains her. her heart inside her chest tightening, almost as if someone is squeezing the blood out of it.

lisa stares up her ceiling, contemplating wether or not she should get off her bed. maybe she should, it's jisoo's birthday after all but it's just tough. it's tough to face the person she has been avoiding since the start of the year.

lisa can't believe what she read. it almost felt like a dream, she wishes it was just a dream. this is the least thing she expected to happen during the very first day of 2019. she expected for the day to be happy, full of merriment and just really festive. but this, she never thought something like this would happen.

she slowly got up her bed and walked towards the living room. she found jisoo and chaeng seated on the sofa with their phones on their hands and  sorry faces looking at her.

"l-lisa..." chaeng starts but she never found the courage to continue.

"is it true?" her voice comes out as a whisper. she feels weak. her knees feel like jelly and if she wouldn't take her seat now, she'd eventually collapse.

"we also don't know okay? calm down, lisa. let's wait for jennie. she hasn't come out of her room yet." jisoo explains. she can just imagine how hurt lisa is right now and the least she could do is to keep her calm.

they were silent for what feels like hours. each in their own bubble. thinking. what the fuck just happened?

"guys..."

heads snapped in a second after hearing a certain voice. except for one. except for lisa.

she doesn't know why but she feels like her tears would just come rushing out the moment she looks at jennie.

"can you please leave us for a moment? i promise to explain after. please."

it must have been the desperation in jennie's voice that willed the two to leave. to be honest, she looks just as miserable as the blonde maknae and they may not know what is happening but they feel sorry for the two.

with careful steps, jennie approached lisa and sit beside her. the air feels tense. nobody dared to speak. jennie doesn't know how to start. lisa feels like her voice is about to crack the moment she says a word.

"i-i'm sorry..." jennie gathers her courage and starts.

"you're sorry for what? cheating on me?" lisa's voice sounded so hollow. it was low and emotionless and this seriously scares jennie.

"no please..." jennie sniffs. her tears started falling the moment she heard what lisa said. "i would never che--"

"so this is fake? is it?" lisa lifts her gaze and stared straight into jennie's eyes, a slight hope rose within her. "tell me."

"i-it's true. i'm really s-sorry lisa." jennie breaks down and it honestly is the worst thing lisa wants to see. she never wanted to see the girl she loves hurt but she has to feel for herself too.

"so you did cheat on me. i never thought you were capable of such thing."

"no please..."

with a heavy sigh, she gathers her courage and head for the door. she spots the members in the living room and she quickly tackles jisoo for a hug.
