hawaii
3:23 am
with hands clasped together, jennie and lisa are taking a walk by the beach. staying at a private place exclusive for the four girls only, both need not to worry about the prying eyes of strangers.
as the crashing waves continue soaking their feet, jennie and lisa has fallen into a comfortable silence, walking aimlessly.
not that any of them mind.
jennie mindlessly watches every step they take, leaving their footprints behind only to be washed away by the waves.
lisa, on the other hand, has her eyes staring across the vast sky.
both in deep thoughts.
jennie's mind goes over everything that's been happening. how hawaii was once just a dream; their dream.
a place where both so wanted to visit.
but now, now is different, because now is reality; their reality.
lisa's mind goes over how even more beautiful the night sky in hawaii is. millions of stars littering the darkness and the moon, a crescent one, so bright and alluring.
"you know i've always been fascinated with stars, right?" lisa breaks the silence. jennie hums in response. "but looking at the moon right now, i just can't help but marvel at how beautiful it is."
"so are you going to change the star in your signature into a moon now?" jennie teases, a smile forming on her lips.
lisa chuckles, shaking her head at jennie. "nope. but you know what? i feel like we could somehow relate to the moon. a crescent moon to be exact."
jennie looks up, perplexed. "really? how?"
"how do i put it... you see, what we are seeing right now is only a small part of a full moon, right? while the majority of it is kept in the darkness,"
lisa thinks for a brief second, constructing her thoughts.
"like how we are. the world, they only see a part of us, a tiny part, and like that moon, a big part of us is in the darkness. not the negative kind of darkness though—"
"like in private. i get it." jennie cuts lisa off from further rambling, getting a gist of what lisa is trying to convey.
"yes, that. but no matter what the world sees or does not see, it never takes away how beautiful and amazing this is. us. what we have—"
"what we have isn't necessarily something the world has to witness as a whole. it is not for their taking. what we have only concerns us and no one else."
jennie completes lisa's sentence.
"as long as you know and i know, that's what only matters." lisa continues.
"so... are you into astronomy now or something?"
the once serious air lightens up with laughters and whines coming from lisa along the lines of 'i was trying to act all smart and serious but you just have to ruin it.'
when laughter has died down, jennie looks at their intertwined hands, smiling at how incredibly perfect and fitting they are to each other.
jennie wraps lisa's arms on her waist, wrapping her own around lisa's neck after, softly playing with her hair along her nape.
lisa pulls jennie even closer, their foreheads touching as they stare into each other's eyes.
"as long as you know how much i am in love with you..." lisa whispers, slowly leaning in.
"as long as you know that i love you more than anything..." jennie leans even closer, now only a centimeter between them.
their lips meet, and no one but the moon and the stars witness the exchange that is sealed with a sweet kiss.
a kiss that is full of love and understanding that what they have is theirs and theirs only.
jennie's and lisa's.
