The last few days were a bit calmer after the whole motel incident. I was trying to cope with the loss of my brother, although, I have to say, I am still not used to the fact that I don't have any family left. The whole team back on the Waverider, especially Ray, tried to cheer me up and to keep me from thinking too much about. But it was Derek, I couldn't.

I woke up and made my bed, went directly to the kitchen where I found Jax sitting there having his coffee. I made myself a cup and joined him. He kept looking at me as I did, no, staring, obviously wanting to make conversation with me, I couldn't blame him. I knew it was difficult to reach someone after a loss like mine just like I knew he didn't want his new friend to feel bad.

"Hello, miss Jones." Gideon suddenly exclaimed, which caused me to spill a bit of coffee on my shirt.

"Oh, crap." I yelled, looking at my shirt. "Hi, Gideon. You scared the hell out of me!"

"I will not do that next time, I'm sorry for that. You received a video from Beacon Hills, do you want me to play it?" She asked.

I immediately ran to the main deck followed by Jax.

"Play it, Gideon!"

The video started playing, the screen was black, but I could hear a voice, that I could recognize from a thousand miles away, Derek. As soon as I did, tears fell down my cheeks.

"Stiles, can I just start talking?" He asked.

"I think so... Oh no wait, the lens is still covered." Stiles replied, taking the cover off the lens revealing a blurry figure of Derek.

"And now?" He asked again, sounding a bit annoyed.

"No. It has to focus first."

"Stiles, I swear if you don't let me just start I'm gonn-"

I laughed at his tone, I missed that so much. The image was focused, I could see my brother and my best friend clearly on the screen. Members of the team started walking towards me. Ray stood next to me and held my hand as tears were still filling my eyes.

"Ruby," Derek started, "I want to start this by apologizing. I want to because after the fight with the alphas I was badly injured, and I didn't think I could survive it. Scott, Isaac, Boyd, Cora and the rest thought I was dead for days."

I stood there still not sure of what that meant.

"Cora's alive?" I mumbled, no other words could escape my lips. Many things were happening at the same time. I redirected my focus on the video.

"I also heard about everything that happened in the motel recently. I never would forgive myself if you ended up dying that day, Ruby. I just want to inform you that I am alive and well. I found someone that helped me heal before I could reach out. I don't know what place and what time you're visiting, or if you are nowhere if even that exists, but I want you to know that I am very sorry for what you went through that day because of me, I love you so much, Ruby. And I'll be waiting to see you again. Goodbye."

I couldn't do anything but turn around to hug Ray and sob. I felt so happy and so relieved, my mind and body were confused.

"M-My brother's alive. He is still here, he never left." I said, the words were forcing their way out.

The whole team cheered, even Snart and Rory seemed happy for me.

Jax ran to hug me, so did Sara and Kendra.

"Wolfie's back, everyone!" Sara announced.

Suddenly, Rip made his way to the main deck and coughed to get our attention.
