Alexandra looked over her shoulder and ducked just before a kick would have knocked her out cold.

That paranoia that had been following her for a while...the person who was trying to fight her was the reason why. They must have been following Alexandra for a while now, and was waiting for the moment where Alexandra would have least expected an attack.

The person jumped back, landing lightly on her feet. Her flowy black hair was disturbingly a lot like Alexandra's, just tied up in a tight ponytail and held back with a dark bandana so that it brushed along her neck. She was dressed in what seemed to be a school uniform for the Raiden Academy for Gifted Students: a black blazer, white dress shirt, grey tie, and a black and grey plaid skirt. White thigh high socks. Black boots. Generic as it could get, it seems.

If it wasn't for the fact that her eyes were a hazel brown, Alexandra would've thought she was distantly related to her. Alexandra gritted her teeth.

"Ne, I didn't expect you to have such good reflexes, " the girl said, deep in thought. "You looked like the type who would be easily caught off guard."

The girl smiled.

"But that's not what I'm here for. Where's Blaize? I'm taking him back."

Blaize. She must have been talking about Keith: just what kind of name was Blaize anyway? Keith suited him much better.

"He's already far away. You're too late."

The girl's smile faltered.

"Well, guess I have to beat the answer out of you, now don't I?"

Alexandra slowly pulled black leather gloves out of her back pocket. The girl watched in interest as Alexandra put them on snugly, and then got into a combat position.

"I might be a detective first, but I'm a fighter too," she said. "Which would you like me to break first, your arm or your leg?"

The girl grinned widely before she lunged at Alexandra.

Alexandra caught the girl's leg right before it would have smacked into her head. She twisted her leg, bringing her fist to punch the girl's face with a left hook.

"TOO SLOW!"

The girl brought her other leg up, somehow defying gravity using the grip Alexandra was exerting on her ankle to bring herself up and smack the heel of her foot into Alexandra's face.

She stumbled back, but didn't have the time to lament over the pain. She blocked another attack at her ribs by catching the girl's leg in her hands and using the momentum to smack the girl into the wall behind her.

While the girl was stunned, she punched the girl down to the ground.

"ARIA!" A boy's voice called.

"Sebastian!" The girl apparently named Aria responded.

Something lifted Alexandra off of the girl and pinned her against the wall, her hands twisted behind her back.

"Thanks Sebastian, I owe you one," Aria said in a grateful tone. "She knows where Blaize is, so we should take her back to Professor Crawford."

"Are you sure?"

"Look at the crest on her gloves, it has to be the Golden Crusaders."

Sebastian must have turned around Alexandra's hand to see the gold emblem on her leather glove. Alexandra took that chance to kick the guy off of her and dart to the side to avoid the two.

Aria sighed in dismay. Sebastian raised his hands up in a fighting position.

He was bulky and tall: his military haircut and dark eyes didn't offput Alexandra in the slightest. However...she didn't think she would be able to take on him, plus Aria, in a fight, considering the damage she had already suffered.
