I knew something was wrong the moment that I walked into the Dining Hall and saw that Angela was trying to stop Finn from...what was he trying to do? Why was his face contorted into the strange look? That definitely was not normal.

"Hayashi, put the knife down," she was saying in an overly cautious tone. "Put it down on the table."

    "I-I'm gonna do it..."

    "HAYASHI!"

Fortunately, Tsukito snatched the knife from Finn, the blade clattering down to the ground as Tsukito fumbled for it. Angela took the opportunity to restrain Finn, fighting with him and somehow wrestling him into a chair.

    "What's going on?"

No one answered me, because as soon as I had asked, a loud fight broke out on the other side of the Dining Hall. The sound of glass shattering as it hit the ground echoed in the room.

"What the hell is WRONG with you, Hitsugaya?!" Young was yelling, slamming her hands on the table. "Why are you acting like this all the sudden?! Get a hold of yourself, damn it!"

I couldn't understand what Yuuji said, but it...didn't sound so good. The fighting continued, and even from where I was standing, I could tell that Yuuji was...off. He wouldn't yell. In fact, I don't think I've ever heard him yell like that before, even when he was angry. Especially not at Young, who had finally started to cooperate with him.

    "What's the racket?"

Miko walked into the room, looking like she immediately regretted it. Her face turned into one of complete and utter disinterest, or maybe it was disgust?

"I don't know..." I responded, trying to decipher what was going on. "I walked in and they all were just going crazy."

"UPUPU! Looks like you all have gotten a look at the next motive!"

Like the demon he was, Monokuma popped out and spun around on his feet. Although Yuuji and Young stopped their bickering, Angela continued to struggle with Finn.

"The next motive?" Dallas questioned, her eyebrows furrowing. "So them acting weird is all YOUR fault?"

"UPUPU! Introducing the next motive, the DESPAIR DISEASE!" Monokuma chortled. "A wonderfully despair-inducing disease!"

For a brief moment of silence, all of us glanced at each other with unease. So Monokuma, being the demon brat he was, continued to explain.

"Well, it's only a copy of the original, so it ain't as good, but it's still DESPAIR!" He said. "The person who catches it, along with an unBEARable fever and hallucinations, has their worst traits amplified to the MAX!"

I briefly looked at Finn, who was now starting to fidget for anything nearby, and then at Yuuji, whose eyes alone could have murdered the entire room.

Well...the disease affecting their personalities would make this change make sense.  They were acting outside their normal characters, after all...

Cautiously, I reached my hand out to Yuuji, just to see if he had a fever. In response, he snarled and smacked my hand away.

"No me toques, maldito mocoso idiota,"  Yuuji snapped, backing away when I tried again. "Stop it!"

I didn't understand the first part of what he said, but it did sound scathing and something that I don't think the normal Yuuji would have ever said. However, from his smack, I was able to feel that even his hand was at a feverish temperature. His hand shouldn't be that warm, should it?
