(Few weeks later)

Betty's pov:

I have officially been at my grandmas for 3 week and I hate it. As much as I miss my friends terribly, I miss Jug more. My anxiety has been getting worse and worse. My grandma gave me this shit as laptop to do school on. I tried to email Jug to tell him I was okay but it wouldn't go through. I just really want to go home. "Betty, I have someone I want you to meet!" My grandmas says excitingly. I groan and then walk to the lounge. "This is Logan!" She exclaims. I stay quiet and look at the boy who is my age. "Cool" I mutter, breaking the silence. "Why don't you two get to know each other!" She says and waddles off to the kitchen. "I'm Logan" He smiles. "Look, I have a boyfriend, so I am just gonna go upstairs" I say awkwardly. "Aren't you trying to move past him?" He asks. "Thats what my mom wants, not what I want" I say. "Oh" He stutters. "Anyway you can go now" I say blunty and then walk upstairs. I close my door and sit on the bed. "I have to go get a phone" I say out loud and run downstairs. "Logan!" I shout. "What?" He asks as he moves away from the front door. "Do you perhaps have a phone?" I whisper. "Yeah" He says grabbing it out of his back pocket. "Can I make one call, please" I beg. "Yeah, sure" He says as he hands me his phone. "I'll be 5 minuets" I say and run upstairs. I close the door and dial Jug's number. "Who is this?" Jughead asks. "Betty" I say. "Betty, where are you, I have been ringing you like crazy!" He says frantically. "I'm so sorry, my Mom took my phone" I sigh. "I miss you" He sighs. "I do too" I say. "Where are you, I'll come" He says. "You can't" I say with tears in my eyes. "What why?" He asks with a sad voice. "I have to prove to my Mom that I am over you, so I can come back" I sigh. "Oh" He says. "I'll be back soon, I promise" I say. "I know" He sighs. "I love you so much" I say as tears stream down my face. "Please don't cry" he says and I can tell he is holding back tears. "I just miss you, It's so hard" I sob. "Talk to your mom, see if you can come back" he says with a leading voice. "I'll try, I promise" I say as I wipe the tears off my face. "Look, I have to go but I love you so much" I say sadly. "Please don't go" He begs. "Baby, I have too but I love you so much, okay" I say as more tears reappear. "I love you so much, Bye princess" He says. I hang up the phone and cry my eyes out. "Um, can I have my phone back?" Logan asks awkwardly. "Oh yeah" I sniffle and then pass it to him. "Thanks" He nods and leaves. "Sweetheart, why are you crying?" My grandma asks me as she enters my room. "No reason" I mutter. "I know you don't want to be here but why don't you just enjoy it" She smiles as she sits on the end of the bed. "Do you even know why I am here?" I ask. "Your Mom said it was about some friends" She says. "Well she lied because it's all about the love of my life" I say as tears drip down my face. "Oh, what's his name?" She asks. "Jughead Jones" I sigh. "I remember him!" She says with a. Huge smile. "He was such a cute boy" She adds. "What do you mean..." I ask. "You two were so cue together!" She says. "Together?" I say. "Yeah, you were best friends, you don't remember?" She asks. "I'm sorry what!" I shout. "Whats wrong?" She asks. "Wait we're talking about the same person right?" I ask. "Well the one I know, he had an older sister who was about 6" She says. "Jess!?" I ask. "Thats her name!" She says. "Holy shit, so this is what she has been hiding" I say to myself. "When can I go home!?" I ask. "Your Mom hasn't told me" She sighs. "Question, do you have any pictures?" I ask. "Oh I have many!" She says. "You have to show me now" I say. "Alright come out to the living room" She says. I run out to the living room. She drags out an old trunk that had a lot of things in it. "Here it is" She says as she hands me a photo album. When I open the first page I was shocked. There we all were; Jug, Jess, Mitch, Luke, Charles, Gladys, Fp, Mom, Dad and me. Jug and I were hugging while Jess what smiling and our parents were getting along. "You were about 4" She smiles. I turn the page to see a photo of Mitch, Jess and Luke playing on a playground while Jug and I were kicking around a soccer ball. I was totally speechless. "How, when..." I stutter. "This was just before I left" She smiles. "What happened?" I ask quietly. "Your Mom doesn't talk about it" She says. "That makes no sense" I say. "Anyway, want some lunch?" She offers. "I need to call Mom, now!" I shout. "Is everything alright?" She asks. "Please, I need to" I beg. She passes me her phone so I immediately call my mom. "Hi, mom" My mom says. "It's Betty!" I snap. "Oh, hey darling" She says. "Why did you lie!" I shout. "About what?" She asks. "Jug and I were best friends and then one day he was gone!" I yell. "H-how" She stutters. "What the hell happened!" I yell. "Betty, don't start this" She says. "I have photos!" I yell. "This is none of your business so just leave it!" She snaps. "But it is my business, I am in all of those photos!" I shout. "Goodbye Elizabeth" She snaps. "I need to talk too Mitch!" I yell but get cut off by a beeping noise. "How could she do this!" I shout. "Betty, everything is okay" My grandma says. I shove the phone into her chest and then run to my room. I slam the door and start crying in anger. I grab my diary and start writing down everything. I was so angry I swear I was going to punch a wall.

Jug's pov:

"Jug?" Jess whispers as she pokes her head through the frame of the door. "Mm?" I ask. "Can you cover for me" She asks like a 5 year old. I nod and go back to writing. "Thank you!" She says and then runs to her room. After a while I started to get bored so I walked out to the living room. "Where are you going?" Mom asks me. "Why do you even care" I snap. "Because your my son" She frowns. "Pops" I mutter and walk out the door. Once I got into pops I walked into the small phone booth to see Reggie. "Where is Veronica?" I ask. "In the speakeasy" He says and then opens the door. I lightly run down the stairs to see Veronica singing. "We need to talk now" I say as I pull her off the stage. "Whoa, what's going on?" She asks. I pull her Into a corner. "I can't function anymore" I say as I cover my face. "Jug, I know you miss her" She sighs. "Do you have any clue on where she is?" I ask. "All I know is she is at her grandmas" She says. "I don't know what to do anymore" I sigh as I fall onto one of the barstools. "Why don't you go and talk to Alice" She smiles sightly. "That would only make it worse" I sigh. She lightly places her hand on my shoulder. "I just don't know what to do with myself anymore" I say as tears prick my eyes. "Jug, we have school tomorrow, that should distract you" She says. "I'm gonna go and eat" I say and then walk out of the speakeasy. "Pop, can I please have my normal?" I ask as I sit onto on of the barstools. "Sure Jug" He smiles and walks to the kitchen. I grab out my phone and stroll through my instagram. "What are you doing here?" My dad asks. "Hungry" I mutter. "Jug, you can't ignore me forever" he sighs. "Maybe not, but I can try" I snap. "How would you know!" I yell. "Jug, lower your voice" He says. "I'm out" I snap and then walk out of the diner.

I walk into my house, slamming the door behind me. "Whats your problem!?" My mom snaps. "Like you don't know!" I shout and then walk into my room. "Jug?" Jess asks quietly. "What!?" I snap. "Are you alright?" She asks carefully. "I'm fine" I grumble. She sits down on the edge of my bed. "Jug, what's going on?" She sighs. "Everything, absolutely everything" I say. "Why don't we go and talk to Mitch?" She smiles. "Will that really help" I sigh. "Maybe not but it could" She says. "Fine" I say bluntly. Jess grabs out her phone while we start walking towards the park. "He should be here soon" She smiles and she slips her phone into her back pocket. We waited around for 10 minuets until Mitch finally arrives. "I came as quick as I could" Mitch sighs as he places a kiss on Jess's forehead. "It's all good" She smiles. "Where's Betty?" I ask. "Mom won't tell us" He says with a mad expression. "Where is your grandma's house?" I question. "Somewhere up in the country, she moves a lot so we haven't been up there" He says. "Fuck" I curse as I slop down onto a bench seat. "I'm sorry, Jug" He sighs. "It's not your fault, babe" Jess says as she rubs his back. "I'm gonna go home" I sigh as I start walking across the field.

"Where have you been?" My mom asks with a worried tone. "Out" I grumble as I walk into my bedroom. I grab my homework off my desk and place it into my bag so I am prepared. "Jug, are you coming out for dinner?" Mom asks as she pokes her head through the door. "No" I say bluntly. "You have to eat" She sighs. "Can you just go away, you are so annoying" I groan. "Fine" She snaps and then slams the door shut. I plug in my headphones and lie on my bed, thinking of Betty. 'God I miss her'
