"Y/n what are you doing here?" He asks walking to you "well you said you were sick so I thought I'd come by and cheer you up" but I see someone's already helping you" you say glancing at the girl. "I'm sorry y/n" Soobin says trying to touch you but...
"Are you okay?" Soobin asks you making you snap out of your thoughts. "Uh.. yeah I'm fine" you say as your heart begins to race and your face heats up and you turn your head looking out the window hoping he won't notice. He only chuckles before pulling out of the driveway and taking you to get your ice cream. The whole ride to the ice cream shop is silent which is awkward since the both of you always have something to talk about.
5 minutes later
The both of you arrive at the ice cream shop and park before getting out and going inside. You open the door going in first holding the door for Soobin who is walking in behind you the both of you walk up the the front where there's a employee with a greeting smile making you smile before looking at all the different ice creams and toppings behind the glass in awe making Soobin laugh at you. "How may I help you today?" the employee asks from behind the glass.
"May I have a" you begin before Soobin finishes your order making you look at him with a frown. "I could have done it myself" You whisper to him "is that all?" she ask "yes that'll be all" he tells her with a smile before handing her the money. "Well I saved you the anxiety" he whispers back to you before the woman hands him his change and begins to fix the ice cream. "Here you go" she says handing you the ice cream "thank you" you say softly before the both of you leave the store going back to the car.
"Thanks Soobin" You tell him smiling before eating the top of the ice cream. He then slightly blushes trying not to make it noticeable by doing everything except looking at you. "Well I did eat your other one" he says laughing "oh screw you!" You tell him hitting his shoulder before he begins to drive away. The both of you arrive back at his home you and get out of the car "Soobin-ah where's kook?" You say asking for the whereabouts of his baby brother Jungkook. "Inside" he tells you before you run up to his porch.
You then walk into his home without knocking to see his mother sitting on the couch feeding Jungkook baby food. She then turns to see you in the doorway and a smile forms on her lips. "Y/n" she says happily "Mrs. Choi" You say as you go over to her and Kook he then spots you and reaches for you "hey kook!" You say in a baby voice as you pick him up and squish his cheeks making him laugh. "Y/n you're great with kids" Mrs. Choi says smiling as Jungkook hugs your neck.
She then stands up trying to give him the last of the food but he hides his head in the crook of your neck hiding his face. You then giggle "Mrs. Choi I'll give him the rest of it" You tell her before she hands you the baby food and you sit down on the couch with Kook in your lap before putting some of the applesauce on the spoon then putting it up to his mouth as he willingly eats it.
"Hey mom" Soobin says as he enters the house shutting the door behind him. You then stare at him as he walks into the kitchen hugging his mom. He turns around noticing your stare cause you to quickly look away focusing your eyes on Jungkook who only smiles showing you he small front tooth which is still growing. "Aw Kook you're so cute!" You say before Soobin sits on the table in front of you and you pretend to not see him.
"What about me? How cute am I?" He says doing an aegyo making you smile turning a bit red.
Aish! How can someone be so damn cute? Crap I'm blushing!
You then calm down trying to make your red cheeks go away as you hear him slightly chuckle. "Jungkook is the only cute one" you say with what you hope is a emotionless expression. He then suddenly grabs his chest as if he in pain and begins to fall on the floor making your eyes widen as you begin to panic. "OMG! Soobin are you okay?" You ask worried as you stand up "no you hurt my heart" he tells you before bursting into laughter.
You furrow your eyebrows "Aish!! Soobin I was so worried! Don't joke like that!" You say hitting him with your free arm since you're holding Kook. He then gets up still laughing at you before taking Kook from your arms and you let out a sigh. His laugher then stops as he realizes how worried you were "y/n calm down I'm fine" he says putting Kook on the floor before pulling you into a tight hug making you melt into his arms.
I could stay like this forever, I love him so much. Well he is your best friend shouldn't you?
Mrs. Choi then walks into the living room "finally you two are dating" she says startling the both of you as Soobin releases you from his embrace. "Oh no Mrs" you begin before she speaks again "I'm so happy he's been" she begins "ahhh!! Mom Jungkook looks sleepy you should go put him to bed" Soobin says grabbing Kook handing him to his mom and pushing them off down the hall before she can finish. "Sorry I'll tell her we don't date later" he tells you slightly embarrassed.
You only nod your head "let's go see a movie later" you tell him as he smiles. "Okay. I'm guessing you want to watching Endgame" he tells you "you know me so well" you tell him "would I be a best friend if I didn't?" He chuckles
No but you'd certainly be my boy- no no no! Y/n get rid of those thoughts.
You only laugh as he goes to tell him mom he's going out and you text Yeonjun telling him your whereabouts of the next 3 or 4 hours. "Okay you ready?" Soobin ask you causing you to look up seeing a slight sparkle in his eyes leaving you in a trance. "Hello earth to y/n" you hear Soobin say as you snap out out of your daze. "Yeah lets go" You say leaving the house not giving him time to ask you what just happened.
You quickly get in his car before he evens steps out of the house. "Y/n what's gotten into you Soobins been your best friend since 2nd grade and you've never felt this way towards him" you ask yourself. You quickly shut up when you hear the driver door open. "Y/n?" Soobin calls out to you "hm?" You ask not looking at him "are you okay?" He asks chuckling. "Yes, I'm fine" You tell him turning your head forcing a smile.
Soobin furrows his eyebrows as if he doesn't believe you "Okay" he simply tells you before turning on the car and driving to the cinema.
"Okay" that's it? No other questions? Does Soobin not share feelings with me the way I do him? Of course he doesn't. Yeonjun was wrong, we're just best friends
