"We're just best friends" | Choi Soobin

"This is your next class" Soobin tells you softly not completely looking at you. You only nod before walking into the class Soobin then grabs your wrist making you quickly look back. "What's wrong?" You ask "y/n-ah" he begins looking into your eyes you only nod for him to continue "never mind" he sighs before walking away. You watch him for a moment as he walks away before entering your class finding a empty seat just like you did before. You sit down putting your head down as you sigh.

You hear some noises as someone sits next to you making you look up to see Jeongin with a smirk on his face as usual. You only look at him with a upset expression and he notices "why the long face" he ask "it's nothing" you say softly putting your head back down. "Is it about Soobin?" He asks annoyance in his voice making you lift your head up to look at him. "I don't see why it's any of your business if it was about Soobin" you tell him rolling your eyes. "Woah woah no need to get upset about it" he chuckles.

"Aish" You roll your eyes at him and he only laughs at  you. The teacher then walks in and you give her your attention and pretending Jeongin isn't beside you. The class soon ends and everyone leaves as you sit in your seat and wait for Soobin. He then walks in and the big smile comes across his face when he spots you. "You have the rest of your classes with me" he tells you making you smile. You both leave walking down the hall to your next class chemistry!

You both walk into the currently empty class and he walks to a seat and you sit in the empty one next to him. "Soobin-ah?" You say softly not fully looking at him "hm?" He ask looking from his phone to look at you. "What's with you and Jeongin?" You ask "I don't want to talk about it just stay away from him I don't want to see you hurt" he tells you before looking back at his phone "hurt? What does that supposed to mea-" you begin "y/n I don't want to talk about it" he says sternly making you jump.

He's never used that tone with me before it makes me think he's hiding something which upsets me because we're supposed to be best friends and best friends don't hide secrets from eachother.

You don't say anything to him instead you just become very distant from him not saying anything to him for the rest of the class. "Y/n what's wro-" Soobin begins "nothing I have a headache" you lie "Really? You seemed fine earlier" he says. You don't say anything instead you raise your hand asking your teacher of you can be excused. You begin to get up from your seat but Soobin touches your hand making you look at him "you don't know your way around here" he tells you "I'll manage" you say somewhat harsh before walking out of the classroom.

~Soobin's POV~
After I raised my voice at y/n I noticed she began to come distant not saying a single thing to me the whole class. "Y/n what's wro-" I begin but she cuts me off knowing what I was going to say "nothing I have a headache" she says but I know she's  really upset with me "Really? You seemed fine earlier" I say trying my best to get her to talk to me. She raises her hand asking the teacher if she can be excused.

I grab her hand and she looks at me with a unreadable expression but if I had to guess it'd be a mixture of hurt and upset making me feel like a complete douche. "You don't know your way around here" I tell her hoping she'd say I was right and sit back next to me "I'll manage" she says a bit harsh before taking her hand away and walking out of the class. I sigh before putting my head on my desktop

~End POV~

You walk down the hall as your vision begins to blur from the tears forming in your eyes. You wipe them away long enough to see where the girls bathroom is you see it and you quickly go over before anyone can see you cry. You bump into someone making you stumble back a bit. "I'm sorry" you say not looking to see who the person is "y/n" you hear Jeongin chuckle making you look to him with tear stained eyes. His smirk then turns to a worried expression as he notices you've been crying "are you Crying?" He asks grabbing your face so your looking at him.

"No" you say wiping your eyes as you sniffle making him laugh slightly making you smile. He then let's you go putting his hands in his pockets "wanna talk about it?" He asks "it's personal" you tell him "mood swings?" He ask nodding making you laugh "no weirdo" you say as he laughs as well. The laughing then dies down and he stares into your eyes before staring at your lips then back at you.

He grabs you by  the back of the neck making your whole body tense up and he leans in and you know exactly what's about to happen next but you move away from him not allowing him to kiss you. He opens his eyes looking at you with a annoyed expression before quickly looking at you with a caring one. "What's wrong" he smirks "nothing I have to go" You say quickly walking away back to the class.
