"Nietzsche once said, "Man is as a rope stretched between the animals and the superhuman. A rope over an abyss. It is a dangerous crossing, a dangerous looking-back, a dangerous trembling, and haunting."
From the top of the stairs, Vanya blew her whistle, and all seven of them ran up the stairs. Luther quickly taking the lead.
As much as you must strive for individual greatness, and strive you must, for it won't come to you of its own accord... You must also remember
Diego passed Luther and Alison was right behind him. Five jumped to the front and Diego got upset, "That's not fair, Fives cheating!" He shouted. "He adapted," Reginald said. James covered himself with electricity, and when someone hits him, they get stunned for 5 seconds. He also sent a line of electricity on the rail, shocking his siblings when touched.
That there is no individual stronger than the collective. The ties that bind you together, make you stronger than you are alone.
James stood to wait for Diego to finish be finished getting his umbrella tattoo. Everyone was trying to act tough, but you could tell they were all scared, the blonde was excited. Alison was leaning against Klaus crying from the pain.
They will make you impervious to the pain and hardship that the world will thrust upon you. And believe me when I tell you, life will be hard. It will be painful.
From the top of the stairs, Vanya took a black marker and drew the umbrella onto her wrist. Wishing for nothing more than to be included with the others.
We can accomplish anything when we accept responsibility together. This is what creates trust.
Reginald placed the scanner onto Number One's temple before standing up and exiting the room. All eight children had one on their temple, and Reginald sat at his desk monitoring each child. James had shot up from a nightmare, and Reginald watched his monitor see what he was doing next.
James took the scanner off and left the room. He walked past his father's office when he was called in. James said he was getting water and Reginald released him to continue his original intention. And Reginald continued watching the children.
Together, you will stand against the reign of evil.
-Flashback over-James sat atop of the banister for the stairs and watched Vanya take something out of her pocket. Pogo came over to her and they began conversating. "Don't waste your time," Vanya said. "Diego's right, I shouldn't have come." Pogo looked at her. "This is your home and always will be. Should I get you a taxi?" He asked.
"I already called one. But thanks." Vanya said. James jumped down from where he was sitting and came up to his sister. "Well, don't leave without saying goodbye to me!" He said. Vanya smiled and hugged her brother. A horn honked from outside and Vanya sighed, "That's me," She said. Pogo nodded and looked up at her.
"I hope you know, your father loved you very much. In his way." "Yeah, well, that's kind of the problem isn't it?" She asked "Take care of yourself," she continued. "You as well, Miss Vanya." Pogo and James watched Vanya walk out the door, and Pogo watched her drive off before shutting the door fully.
James walked into the kitchen to see Five digging through the shelves. Alison walked in, set her coat down, and watched her brother look for something. "Wheres Vanya?" She asked. "Oh, she's gone," Klaus said, James nodded and climbed onto a counter in search of coffee. "That's unfortunate." Five said holding up the coffee pot.
"Yeah," Alison said. "An entire square block. Forty-two bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, but no, not a single drop-" "Of coffee" James finished sighing and jumping off the counter. "Dad hated caffeine," Alison said. "Well, he hated children, too!" Klaus said. "And he had plenty of us." James laughed. "I'm taking the car." Five said.
"Can I go with you?" James asked, Five nodded in return. "Where are you two going?" Klaus asked. "To get a decent cup of coffee," James said. "Do you even know how to drive?" Alison asked. "I know how to do everything," Five said, he grabbed James' arm and spacial jumped them into the car.
"I feel like we should try and stop them," Klaus said. "But then again, I also just kinda want to see what happens." He finished standing from the chair he was previously in. "All right, I guess I'll see you guys in, what, ten years? When Pogo dies?" Diego said walking through the kitchen. "Not if you die first." Alison retorted. "Yeah, love you too, sis," Diego said.
"Good luck with your next film. Hope it turns out better than your marriage, huh?" Alison left the room and Klaus turned towards his brother. "Are-- Are we leaving?" "No, I'm leaving, me by myself," Diego said leaving the room. "Oh, fabulous! I'll get my things." Klaus said clapping his hands.
Inside the car, James and Five were having a conversation. "So," Five started. "Who's the toddler and other kid?" James sat up, "Those are Miles and Jayden." He said staring out the windshield. "Are they your kids?" Five asked. "Yeah, Miles is 14 turning fifteen on the first of April." Five stiffened up, "and Jayden is three."
Five nodded and the two pulled up to Griddy's Doughnuts. "Wow, I haven't been here in forever," James said stepping out of the car and going over to Five. "Me neither." The two went inside and sat down at the counter. Five rang the bell and a truck diver came into the shop behind them. A waitress came out from the back and sighed, "Sorry, the sink was clogged. So, what'll it be?"
She looked at the truck diver. "Uh, give me a chocolate eclair." The man said. "Mm-hmm. Sure. Can I get the kids a glass of milk or something?" She asked. Five scoffed, "The kids want coffee. Black." The waitress looked unsettled, "Cute kids" She said awkwardly. Five and James gave her forced smiles.
When the waitress went to prepare their stuff, Five spoke up. "Don't remember this place being such a shithole." James snickered and went back to playing with the hem of his jacket sleeve. "We used to come here as kids. Used to sneak out with my brothers and sisters and eat doughnuts till we puked. Simpler times, huh?" Five said. James poked him and mouthed 'We look like kids'
Five ignored him and looked up then the coffee was placed in front of him and his brother. "Eh, I suppose," The man said. "I got theirs," The man said, handing the waitress a 10. James pulled out his card and handed it to the woman. "That's for mine." The waitress looked at him, "Can I see an ID, please?" James nodded and pulled out his ID.
The waitress nodded and handed it back to him. The waitress swiped the card and handed it back to James who put it away. She went into the back and Five looked at the man. "You must know your way around the city," He said. "I hope so, I've been driving it for 20 years." "Good, I need and address." Five said.
The driver gave Five the address, and he left the shop.
