//TW; transphobic slurs and other slurs//
Klaus and James's limbs were tangled up in the blankets and with each other. Klaus's legs were still shaking and James laid next to him a dark blue blanket covering his lower half, Klaus shakily ran his hand through his lover's hair and smiled when James leaned into his touch. "I love you," James whispered, Klaus continued messing with his hair, "I love you too babe ." Klaus sighed lovingly before speaking again, "and you still have it, even after all these years." James chuckled before kissing Klaus, their lips locked together and they heard each other before James's phone began ringing. "Fuck," James muttered pulling away and leaning over to his nightstand, and grabbing his phone. He answered it and placed the call on speaker, the voice on the other line sounded frantic and James sat up, "Dad. That kid I fought earlier is back at it again- fuck off dude- and he is running after me on the field--" James cut his son off, "shit, I'll be right there, just keep him off of you and take him to the parking lot." Miles hung up and James rushed to pull clothes on.
He grabbed Klaus's pants and tossed them at the junkie before grabbing a sweater and pulling it over his head before tossing one to Klaus and pulling his boots on. Klaus did the same and watched the man he loved rush around his apartment so he could get to his son before he got hurt. Once both men had everything, they climbed into James's truck and rushed to get to the school.

James jogged out to the pair of kids running through the parking lot and weaving through cars. Once he got closer to the pair he recognized the gray tones in his son's hair and he saw the kid running after him. Miles saw his dad and ran towards him, the other boy following suit. The other boy came to a halt as he saw who was in front of him. He had grown up listening to stories, reading articles, and watching shows on the Umbrella Academy and two of the members stood in front of him. Seance and Pikachu were the two he admired most, and once he put it together, he figured out he had been fighting and bullying a member's kid, he internally panicked. "Boys. Let's get inside and talk to the principal shall we?" James said, his jaw was clenched tightly as he watched both high-school boys walk into the office.
The woman at the front desk eyed the four males standing in front of her desk and she wordlessly took them to the principal's office. "Mr. Hargreeves, nice to see you, I assume this is your significant other?" James nodded, "Yes, this is Klaus, this is Mr. Burger, Miles's principal. Mr. Burger, this is Klaus." Mr. Burger held his hand out and Klaus shook it gingerly before returning his hand to his pocket, the principal lead the pair over to a long table and sat down at one end, Klaus, James, and Miles sat on one of the sides and the other kid and his family sat at the other end. James sat up straight and the principal cleared his throat before beginning. "Well, earlier today both boys got into a fight, they both ended up with bloody noses. Each has their respective bruises and scratches. Is there anything either family would like to add?" The bully's father sat up straighter -if that was possible- and clasped his hands in front of him. "I do not believe that my boy is at fault for beating this tranny. I believe the best way to cure this rebellion, in the eyes of God is to beat it out. And my son did just that." James's eyes narrowed on the man, he also sat up straight and smirked.
"Klausey dear, would you mind giving me a little kiss on the cheek will you?" Klaus leaned over and gave James a small kiss on the cheek before going back to fiddling with the sleeves of the sweater he was wearing. The boy's father's face turned red with anger and he pointed a sausage-looking finger at the pair. "No wonder your disgraceful child thinks it's okay to be a Faggot! Because her parents are!" James cleared his throat and glared pointedly at the man. "Look, Gerome-" "It's Father John, Fag." "Whatever, my son has the right to be whomever he wants to be. Fuck, he could be a unicorn for all I care and I would still love him. Obviously, there is something you are doing wrong with raising your son because I know for a fact any good parent, religious or not should always teach their kids that A, violence is never the answer and B, to love and accept everybody, no matter their skin tone, race, gender, religion or anything like that." The Principal who hadn't said anything before coughed into his arm and faced the two men who were arguing, "Well, Gentlemen, I do believe we have figured out the root of the problem, and both boys are suspended for a week, Sister Mary, is there anything you would like to say?" A woman dressed in traditional nun clothes looked up at her name, "Yes, I would like to thank Mr. Hargreeves here for being so civil and for being who you are, you are a good man and parent. Thank you for that."
