Five and James were still there talking and sipping their coffees when a group of armed men burst into the building. "Hmm. That was fast." Five said, "I thought I'd have more time before they found me."
"Okay, so let's all be professional about this, yeah?" One of the men said pointing a gun at Five's head. "On your feet and come with us, both of you. They want to talk." "I've got nothing to say and he knows nothing." Five said. "It doesn't have to go this way." The man said, "You think I want to shoot two kids? Go home with that on my conscience?" Five smirked.
"Well, I wouldn't worry about that." James stepped in, "You won't be going home." Five grabbed a butter knife and jumped behind the man stabbing him in the neck. James jumped behind the counter and grabbed a bunch of knives, Five appeared on a table "Hey, Assholes."
The men started shooting at five and James charged a knife with his electrical energy and threw it at one man and it hit him in the eye, killing him instantly"
Istanbul was Constantinople, Now it's Istanbul, not Constantinople. Been a long time gone, Constantinople.
Five jumped behind the door and knocked on it. A man turned around and went to shoot at him before he jumped away again. James grabbed a pencil from the counter and threw it towards his brother who caught it.
Now it's Turkish delight, On a moonlit night. Every gal in Constantinople. Lives in Istanbul, not Constantinople. So if you've a date in Constantinople. She'll be waiting in Istanbul.
Five broke a mop handle and stabbed the sharp end into a man's side causing him to fall. James went over to him and snapped his neck successfully killing him.
Even old New York was once New Amsterdam. Why they changed it I can't say, people just liked it better that way.
Five jumped over to a man and stabbed him in the eye with a pencil his brother gave him.
So, take me back to Constantinople. No, you can't go back to Constantinople. Been a long time gone Constantinople.
James kicked a man in the side, and he got up trying to get to Five. Five stood up on a chair and climbed onto the counter next to his brother.
Why did Constantinople get the works? that's just nobody's business than the Turks.
The two boys took out the last of the men, and Five jumped to the middle of the floor. He sighed and made sure everyone was dead. He walked over to the one guy and took his tie off the man's neck before slipping it back on and tightening it up again.
Istanbul, Istanbul. Even old New York was once New Amsterdam. Why they changed it I can't say, People just like it better that way.
A man tried moving away, and James electrocuted him.
Istanbul was Constantinople, Now it's Istanbul, not Constantinople
The two boys stood over all the bodies.
Been a long time gone, Oh Constantinople, Why did Constantinople get the works? That's nobody's business but the Turks
Five picked up the tracker and went back to the counter. He took a knife and made a cut on his arm, he dug two fingers in and pulled out the small chip from his forearm. James grabbed a napkin and cleaned up the blood on the counter from Five's arm.
So, take me back to Constantinople, No, you can't go back to Constantinople
The two boys walked out of the building and Five dropped the chip in a puddle, next to the gutter. They climbed into the car and drove to an apartment complex where Five grabbed his brother's hand and jumped them both inside.
Been a long time gone, Oh Constantinople, Why did Constantinople get the works? That's nobody's business but the Turks. Istanbul.
Diego stood standing at the water's edge looking at the monocle in his hand. 'Do you ever remember a single time that dad wasn't wearing his monocle?' Klaus opened the door of Diego's car, "Yoo-hoo, Diego!" He called out. "I hate to rush you through any kind of brooding moment you might be having, but come on, man, we're starving!" Diego looked at Klaus.
The skirt-clad male sighed and shut the car door, "I'm craving, eggs," Klaus clicked his tongue, "No. Wait it's too late for eggs." Klaus turned towards the ghost of his brother. "Waffles. Huh? You like waffles right?" Ben nodded but kept his head down.
"Ah. Of course, you do. Everyone likes waffles," Klaus said inhaling sharply. Diego let the monocle slip from his hand and into the water. Static came through the radio of the hood of the car. "Gunshots reported on the 400 block of Milton Avenue, Griddy's Doughnuts." Diego walked over and grabbed the radio and got into the car.
"Diego, thank you for joining us, we have decided on, drum roll, waffles." Diego ignored him and started the car, "I'm gonna drop you off at the bus stop. I've gotta get back to work." Klaus leaned back and sighed looking at his ghost brother. "What breaking bones and cracking skulls?" He asked chuckling sadly. "Saving lives baby," Diego said, looking at him in the rearview mirror.
"Well, I guess it's frozen waffles again." Klaus sighed. Ben opened his eyes for a moment before he closed them again. "Yeah, I could do egg and bacon, but I'm trying to cut down on my pig products," Klaus said. Vanya stood in the hallway of her apartment building struggling to open her door when she opened the door, she was surprised when the light flicked on and two of her brothers were sitting in chairs in the middle of her living room.
Five had blood on the collar of his shirt, and James blood on his sleeve. "Jesus," Vanya said when the light turned on. "You should have locks on your windows." Five said. "I live on the second floor." James stood up, "Rapists can climb." Vanya shut the door. "You two are so weird." She sat down. "Is that blood?" She asked.
"iS tHaT bLoOd?" James mimicked Vanya, sighed. "It's nothing." Five brushed it off. "Why are you here?" Vanya asked. "I've decided you're the only one I can trust other than James." Five said. "Why me?" She asked. "Because you're ordinary. Because you'll listen." Five said. "Okay," Vanya said standing up and heading into the bathroom, she grabbed the rubbing alcohol and some paper towels.
She came back out to the two in her living room. Vanya inhaled sharply when Five rolled up his sleeve and saw the wound in his arm. She was cleaning up the wound when Five started speaking. "When I jumped forward and got stuck in the future, do you know what I found?" Vanya looked at him, "No." she said. "Nothing. Nothing." James looked at Five.
"As far as I could tell, I was the last person left alive. I never figured out what killed the human race, but... I did find something else. The date it happens." Five sighed. "The world ends in eight days, and I have no idea how to stop it." Vanya looked like she didn't believe him, but sighed. "I'll put on a pot of coffee."
