Chapter 14

LEO

Seoul, South Korea

10:00 AM

       Phew...finally, after an exhausting time posing for the media outside, we finally got to sit inside the venue, beside the runway. This is why I don't like stardom, it exhausts me so much and the event hasn't even started yet. I turn my head to my side, seeing Jennie talk to a man whom I don't know. A pang of jealousy hit me that I ended up frowning, the man noticed me and pointed at me, making Jennie turn her head towards me.  My frown immediately vanished when I saw her beautiful face.

"What?" she asked, not even bothering to hide her coldness in her tone.

I was about to say something but an awkward cough interrupted me. We turn our attention to the source of the cough, which was the man whom Jennie was talking to, giving us a small smile. Jennie sighed, "Leo, meet Shin Je Min or more known as Teo, and Teo meet Leo Bruschweiler." we shook hands, giving him a small smile, "Nice to meet you Leo." he greeted, "Likewise." I reply, nodding my head.

"Good day everyone!" a voice boomed through the speakers, making us turn our attention to the speaker.

"Ladies and gents, I welcome you to the 5th M Fashion show, where our beautiful and handsome models will be showing you the clothing line and as well as introducing the new faces of the brand. So without further ado, let's welcome our models." and with that, the MC gets off the stage as the music starts to play and one by one, models started to emerge.

As the show goes one, I felt a gentle nudge on my side; making me look at the person who did that. An attractive girl was smiling sweetly at me and holds her hand up for a handshake, "Hi my name is Heejin and I hope you know how to speak Korean." she said.

I grasp her hand for a handshake and gave her a small smile, "Yeah, I know how to speak Korean and my name is Leo by the way." 

I release her hand and put my hand back on my lap, "So Leo are you from Korea?" she asked.

I shake my head, "Nah I'm from Thailand."

"Oh cool, so what are you doing here?" 

"Oh you'll know sooner or later." I smirked teasingly and shrug. She pouts and complains ,"Such a tease." I chuckled.

I ended up talking to Heejin a lot more instead of watching the show, what can I do? The girl's interesting and funny as fuck. She told me she pranked the members and ended up sleeping on the living room for 3 nights to repent, I also learned that she's also in a K pop girl group called Loona and that she was younger than me and we also ended up exchanging contact numbers. We were both laughing at her joke when I felt a nudge on my side. I turned around and saw Jennie with a frown, definitely not pleased. 

"What?" I asked innocently.

"You should focus on the show instead of flirting." she replies sharply. 

This time, it's my turn to frown, "What the hell are you talking about? I'm not flirting!" 

She rolled her eyes and snorted before diverting her attention back to the runway, "Whatever you say." 

I'm starting to get frustrated, as I was about to say something a voice boomed through the speakers, "Thank you models and now let's proceed to the main event. We will now introduce the faces of the brand but before that we will show you a video." the MC announced and once again gets off the stage as the huge screen on the background started to play a video. The video contained the clips and photos of Jennie and I during the photoshoots from the studio to the beach. We never got to see the actual video so this is the first time we got to see it. The scene on the beach where we and Jennie and I acted like a couple made some of the audience say 'aww', including Heejin of course because she was right beside me so I heard her quite well. I took a glance on Jennie who was focusing her eyes on the screen so I divert my attention back to the screen. It was now the scene where we were having a fight on the beach, Jennie was shedding a tear and I was now cupping her cheeks. Still she is quite a good actress to tear up immediately during the shoot. The scene continues, and now we're in the water, our bodies enveloped each other by a hug, my face was nestled on Jennie's neck; it was quite a sexy scene and I just realized that.

The video ends after a few minutes and the MC returns back to the stage while I felt a nudge on my left, Heejin gave me a a knowing look and raised an eyebrow. I grinned sheepishly and shrug in response, "....And now we introduce to you the new faces of the brand, Miss Jennie Kim and Mr. Leo Bruschweiler." the MC announced excitedly as an applause erupted. Jennie nudged my side, signaling me to stand up and come up to the side which I did. I followed her towards the stage, Jennie stood beside the MC and I was beside her, cameras began to shutter rapidly.

"So guys would you please introduce yourselves?" the MC asked politely, we nod in response.

"Hello everyone, it's a pleasure to be here, my name is Jennie Kim and I am the new face of the M fashion line." Jennie said giving her signature gummy smile, she was emitting charisma that can't go unnoticed. She can go from frowning to smiling real fast huh, is she bipolar?

"Good day everyone, my name is Leo Bruschweiler and it is my honor to be in front of you guys and of course to be the new face of M fashion line." I greeted, giving the cameras and the audience my smile, emitting a charisma of my own. I have been in the modelling industry long enough to gain confidence. 

"As everyone probably knows, Ms. Jennie Kim is a member of the girl group BLACKPINK but it's a different case for you Leo, so could you tell us more about yourself?" the MC asked me kindly with a huge smile on his face.

I nod in response; my smile never fading, "I'm 20 years old and I'm from Thailand. I've been modelling for a few years and yeah," 

"Oh you're from Thailand I see, so how was modelling with Miss Kim?" 

"It was fun working with her, she was kind and as you can see she's so charismatic." I reply politely.

"What about you Miss Kim?"

"Leo was a pleasure to work with, despite being a full grown adult, he can be a real child sometimes.  He pranked some of the staffs a few times but it was fun, I felt like I had become an older sister instantly because it felt like I just earned myself a 5 year old younger brother stuck to an adult's body." Jennie humored and the crowd laughed and I just go along the laughter ignoring the hurt I felt when she told the crowd she just saw me as her younger brother but we're definitely much more than that. Both of us knows it.

The MC grinned, "I see that you get along so well with each other, your chemistry in that video cannot be denied, we felt like we were watching a romance movie instead of a fashion show." he said amused and the crowd agreed. 

We laughed awkwardly, "So is there a possibility the two of you are together?" the MC asked curiously.

"No, he's like a brother to me." Jennie quickly denied and the MC quickly turn to look at me for an answer and at the same time Jennie turned to look at me warningly, but the crowd and the MC didn't noticed it

I internally sighed and gave a small smile, "No, we're not together." 

Not yet anyway.

Hey guys!!! back with another update. Thankfully I managed to publish a chapter even though I'm a lazy ass, that's what stopping me from finishing this book MY LAZY ASS. lol I will try to update tomorrow, to make up to my 2 chapter a week quota. You guys can message me for any suggestion cuz frankly i'm running out of ideas lol. I do have the climax and rising action ready tho, and i'm just finishing up the introduction and the past 3 or so chapters have parts of rising action in it so expect the full rising action sooner or later and also expect some more characters to be introduced.
