Leo's POV

Manila, Philippines

7:25 PM

"So what happened next? Did you burn in jealousy and became a caveman instantly?" Jennie teased, her lips quirked up in a playful smile and her cat like eyes portray amusement. I laugh, "Nah, you read too much romance books. In the first place I don't get jealous-", she raised an eyebrow and her eyes narrow accusingly, "Oookaaayyy~ maybe I do get a teeny tiny bit jealous." I chuckle nervously as my hand went to the back of my neck; rubbing it anxiously, a habit that I developed.

She grinned victoriously, crossing her arms over her chest. I rolled my eyes then cleared my throat, "Okay moving on, let's go back shall we...."

Flashback

Okay, this is definitely interesting; both in a good and bad way. Good in a way that the little smurf has an admirer after all; a sheer sign that she has the ability to attract a male in the population despite being sorta included in that circle as well. Bad because, I can't seem to get rid of the uneasiness I feel when I learned that someone has a crush on her and this is the first time that this happened to me.

It's currently lunch time  and this feeling of unease is getting annoying. I turned to my left and what I saw made me furrow my eyebrows and my eyes narrow. My gut was clenching in...anger? fury? rage? displeasure? Pretty sure it's all of the above. There she was and all of her smurf glory, Kyla and I think that runt's name is Caleb who's talking to my little smurf. She was laughing and the run whispered something to her ear causing her to giggle which made my gut clench much more painfully.

Wait, 'my little smurf'?

That's it, I've officially gone mad.

I returned my gaze to my phone, trying to ignore the sound of her laughter. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, trying to seize the foreign emotion that is building inside me.

Then, her unmistakable squeal snapped my resolve. I stomp all the way there; her back facing me and grabbed her collar, and not so gently pulling her to me. Her eyes snapped at me, blinking a few times as if to register what just happened. My eyes narrow, and my eyebrows furrowing at her before snapping my gaze to the runt. The surprise in his face didn't fail to show but he quickly regained composure. A small smile make its way to his lips, "Uh man, didn't you see that we were talking, ain't that rude?" he looks kind, but his tone is definitely not in a friendly way. I cocked up an eyebrow, "You and this little smurf here were being a little too loud here mate." I retort and I could feel Kyla's heated look she stared up at me.

"We're sorry for that then, then could you let go of Kyla? We'll try to talk a little more softer this time."

"No."

He cocked an eyebrow and crossed his arms over her chest, "And why is that?" he asked, annoyance in his tone.

"Cause this smurf is mine." I blurt out.

"So what happened next?" Jennie asked eagerly, I swear I could see the sparkle in her eyes as she said it. I chuckle, she doesn't look like she gets jealous easily but man, looks can be deceiving. She's a tiger behind her kitten facade, ready to pounce anytime if someone is gonna steal her prey.

"Well..."

"Dinner's ready both of you!" the unmistakable shout of Ma interrupted us. I smiled and pecked her nose, "We'll continue this later okay? I'm also planning to tell everyone about us."

"Are you sure? You could tell them next time if you want." she asked worriedly, her feline eyes looking at mine intently. I shake my head, "No, it's now or never. The sooner, the better. I owe it to them." I answer her with determination. She gave me her smile which undoubtedly makes people melt and I'm not immune to it. My heart clenched in delight and my insides tying into knots.

Ah, fuckin' hell I'm whipped as fuck.

"Leo! Get down here with Jennie!" another yell from Ma called.

We chuckled and I stood up first, giving my hand for Jennie to take, she gracefully took it then stood up. We held hands up until the stairs, only removing it once we had to step down the stairs, instantly missing the warmth that enveloped my hand.

Yeah, I better tell them quick or else I might not survive with this minimal skinship.

Once we arrived down, Ma's face brighten up; her smile reaching up to her ear, showing her dimples. "Come on lil' lion, you sit here and Jennie, you sit beside Leo."

We went to our respective places, but before I sit myself, I pulled Jennie's seat when she was about to grab the backrest of her chair. She responded with a sweet smile making me smile as well; I could see in the corner of my eye, Ma and Pa looking at us sweetly while the rest of my friends and of course Alexis looking at us suspiciously but I ignored it. I'm gonna tell them about us later on anyway. We proceeded to sit and the dinner proceeded smoothly, with Jennie blending well with the people I consider my second family. After eating barbecue with of course rice and Ma cutting slices of cake for each of us. After handing the last piece of cake to her husband I decided that this was the time that I should tell them.

"Ma..." I spoke, loud enough for everyone in the table to hear.

I turn to look at Jennie and found that she was already looking at me, she nods at me and her eyes indicating that she understands what I'm about to do. The questionable looks from my friends could be seen from my peripheral vision. Jennie grabbed my hand under the table that is sitting on my lap and gave it a light squeeze,  giving me the last push I need.

I returned my gaze to them, "I have something to tell you guys." I said with sheer determination, not an ounce of hesitancy. Ma and Pa's smile never fade from their face as they wait for me to continue.

"I like Jennie, and she feels the same way." I state, ready for any traces of anger that will lash at me anytime.

But I didn't get any but instead, all I got is a brighter smile from before from what I consider my second parents. "You silly kid, we knew that from the start." Ma answered sweetly.

Wait, what?
