--------

The chill breeze had been colliding with my skin for about 30 minutes now as my mind passed in review all the events that had happened the previous day. A simple glass of wine in my hand as I was sitting on the balcony floor wearing nothing but my underwear, I realized that everything was real. I had really came back to Miami, I had really joined her under the shower and I had really spent the night with her. At those mere thoughts I couldn't help but let a smile tug on my lips. For the first time in 14 months I didn't wake up with the thought that I wasn't where I belonged because I was. I wasn't wondering how she was doing or what she was doing because I knew, I knew that she was laying down naked on this bed we had shared the previous night. I was happy, more than happy I was whole again, that was thanks to Jason. At the thought of him I let my smile vanish and the guilt came back rushing through me, so I picked my phone up and called him. I knew it would be the afternoon in Paris since here it was about 7 am. I dialed his number and instantly his voice appeared at the other end of the line.

"Hey beautiful." He stated with a tone that shocked me. There was no animosity, no anger, no hatred, nothing but joy.

"Hey Jay." I greeted back.

"So why are you calling me? I thought you were on your honeymoon with pretty eyes." He joked and although I knew he only wanted my happiness I could tell he was hurt.

"Jason I'm sorry." Was all I could say.

"Hey baby listen you don't have to be. Sometimes some things are meant to be. You belong to her and I fully understand it. Stop hating yourself for choosing the things that makes you happy." He declared and I couldn't help but let a small chuckle out.

"How can you be so good to me?" I asked and I heard him laugh.

"I told you I was awesome." He said and it was my turn to laugh.

"Cocky much I see. Some things don't change apparently." I stated playfully before a more serious expression settled on my face. "You are awesome Jason." I declared and I could feel his sweet smile through the phone. "I just hope I didn't lose you." I whispered and I heard him counter right away.

"No no. You'll never lose me baby girl. Every time I'll come to the U.S. I'll visit you and hopefully you'll visit me here too." He said with a confident and reassuring voice.

"You promise?" I asked in a childish voice.

"You and I. Till the end of the world." He declared and I just smiled.

"Till the end of the world." I repeated.

"Anyway, I gotta go. My lunch break is over. I'll talk to you very soon okay?" He stated and I nodded.
