"Life is a lot more fun when you're around."
Personality:
Kade is a very loving, kind person. He's definitely on the more young, energetic side of rangers. Always smiling and, if not in trouble, laughing. He's able to be serious but he rarely is, unless the situation absolutely requires it. He's helpful and always asking what he can do for people. A total sweetheart, really, that's in the perfect business for helping people.
There are plenty of Rangers who take their business extremely serious and rarely make light of situations, Kade is definitely not one of them. He's always extremely friendly to the locals, always smiling and laughing- he gets information by talking and befriending people. Sometimes he looks like an over-talkative, eager local and that really helps with getting information or learning what's going on. With friends, he always hung out, made jokes, and played pranks.
Despite being a goofy, loving guy- Kade also has a slightly serious side. Slightly, of course. During missions or stuff, he has to stay quiet and follow along. When fighting, he does talk, but is focused to win. The biggest time he's serious is when his loved ones are in danger, when that happens he seems to almost shut down and do anything it takes. Anything with super high stakes makes him take things seriously.

Dislikes:
Unkindness, failing, death, being underestimated, bullies, being yelled at, people not understanding his humour/jokes, and the quiet

Backstory:
Kade was born to a well-known, kind innkeeper and a beautiful musician. He had an older brother who adored him and, eventually, he got a younger sister who he adored. To say the least, they were a loving and amazing family. Kade grew up with music in his life and friends all around, at least that's how he thought of it. When his older brother got accepted to be a knight, it was an honour to the whole family and Kade was expected to fill the big shoes set before him.
At age 16, like all brave young boys, Kade applied to battle school. Like some boys, he was denied. Most people, after being rejected from battle school, go into their parent's profession but Kade was lucky, his grandfather happening to be a ranger. When people have a ranger in their family, the Ranger Corps tends to keep an eye on that family.
About a week after being rejected from battle school, Kade was almost ready to apprentice his father as an innkeeper. He went out into the woods to hunt, gather small game for the inn to cook and sell. He snuck around the forest, more quiet and unseen than most ordinary people could manage, and easily hunted. Rafael was in the area, watching in an unseen shadow- and was impressed with Kade's skill. He quickly took Kade as an apprentice and they began training.
