Lauren's POV
I walk into the Grier's house and I'm shocked. "SURPRISE!" Everyone jumps up from around the room! I was almost in tears when I saw my BFF from back in Texas. My mom always has the best surprises.
"Jess!" I yell as I run across the room and give her a huge bear hug.
"Hey Lauren! Happy Birthday! I've missed you so much!"
"Same!!! How long are you here for?"
"A week!" Jess said. "Then we have a lot to catch up on!" I said.
I told Jess we would talk later and I went to look for Hayes. I couldn't find him anywhere so I decided to go put on a bathing suit and go play some volleyball. I went upstairs and put on my purple bikini and it had yellow polka dots.
I walked downstairs and I was frozen. I saw Hayes pushed up against the wall and Ashley kissing him. I didn't know what to do. I wanted to run upstairs and jump in bed and cry but I knew that's exactly what she wanted. I decided to forget about it and go in the pool with Jess and play volleyball.
"Hey girl what's up?" Jess said as soon as I walked over to her. Since we were best friends she could probably tell I was upset.
"It's H-Hayes." I stuttered. She looked in the house and saw him. I broke into tears and wanted to run away. Jess walked me over to the lounge chairs and I curled up inside my towel.
"Uh Lauren?" Jess said. She sounded concerned. "You might wanna see this."
I looked up to see what she was talking about and I was shocked...
