Love at First Sight

Chapter 7

Lauren's POV

I walked down the stairs and she was there. Ashley was standing at the door talking with Hayes. She was probably trying to get him back. I couldn't hear exactly what they were saying but that's what I assumed. I saw Ashley look over toward the stairs and I think she say me. I darted back up the stairs and sat on the top step so I could still see them.

They talked for about another minute and then I almost went into shock. Ashley started making out with Hayes. I was really jealous. I really didn't have any reason to be jealous though. Me and Hayes didn't have anything and I guess we still don't. Even though I still like him. I decided I needed to get out of the house. I grabbed my new teal, purple, and lime green penny board, snuck down the stairs and out the back door so Hayes wouldn't see me.

I didn't know the area that well so I just kinda rode around and explored. I was riding past a really big, nice house when my phone started ringing.

"Hello?"

"Hey where'd you go?" it was Hayes.

"I went for a ride in my penny board." I was really annoyed with him and he could prob hear that in my voice

"Ok, are you coming back for dinner?"

"No I'll get my own food." I said

"Ok. do u want to meet up?" he asked. I thought about it for a minute and decided it's better to have some time alone. I told him I'll be home later and rode to the mall.

I went to Panera to get food. I sat at a table and decided to go through Twitter. My friends back in Texas were tweeting about me saying that they missed me. I didn't feel like responding to them all so I just tweeted

I finished my food and decided to do some shopping. I went to forever 21 and got some new crop tops and I went to Delia's and got some dresses. I was walking around the mall and I saw Hayes with a bunch of his friends. I walked into the closest store to me which was Brookestone. I sat down in one of the massage chairs and put up the footrest and put the massager on. I was so relaxed and I started dosing off.

About 5 minutes later I heard someone calling my name. It was Hayes and all his friends. His friends were playing kinetic sand and he was sitting on the arm rest of the chair I was on. "Why did you run off earlier?" he asked. "Why do you think?" I said. my tone was kind of snobby. "I know. I don't know why she showed up and them all of a sudden she started making out with me. I was pissed and I pushed her right off of me." I didn't think about it like that. it wasn't really Hayes' fault and I'm taking all my anger out on him. I felt so bad. "I'm so sorry Hayes. I got all mad at you when it wasn't even your fault." "It's ok! I forgive you!" he said.

I decided to go walk around the mall a little more with Hayes and his friends. Before we knew it, it was 10:00 and the mall was closing. Hayes called Nash to come pick us up. Nash got there in about 5 minutes and me and Hayes cuddled in the back seat. We got back to their house and I realized that my mom had the guest bedroom. Where was I gonna sleep? "Hey Hayes! do you have some extra blankets so I can put them down on the couch to have some extra cushion?" I asked. he looked surprised. "you don't have to sleep on the couch. You could sleep in my bed!" I smiled and blushed. Hayes was so sweet. I changed into a pair of hayes' sweatpants and a tank top and I got into his bed. He was sleeping on the floor next to me. "Hayes I'm cold. can you come cuddle with me?" "sure!" He got up from the floor and got under the covers next to me. He wrapped his strong arm around me and pulled me close to him. I realized he was shirtless. he had a perfect body. I felt so safe in his arms. about 5 minutes later I started dosing off and I'm almost positive I heard Hayes whisper "Goodnight beautiful." nothing could be more perfect!
