In the evening, the local ladies came with the dhol and some other musical instruments.

They all got seated and listened to the traditional wedding songs having fun. The elders talked about the meaning and reasons for the customs and traditions.

"The main functions are starting tomorrow. Are you guys excited?",Naina asked everyone and they grinned wide and nodded eagerly.

"So lots of work from tomorrow. So eat and sleep well. You will need a lot of energy.",Raj said and they nod in agreement.

"Did you hear your Dad? No more staying up late. I want you to look fresh and active in the functions.",Nyonika said to manik who was lying on her shoulder. He nods smiling at her as she slaps his cheeks lightly.

"So tomorrow is haldi. So everyone be up early and help us and them get ready. Okay?",Sameer said and they nod.

"Why do they have to apply tumeric on their body?",Scarlet asks confused and amused at the ritual.

"Haldi brings shine and glow to their faces and it keeps negative thoughts away from the wedding couple. Also it is believed that it protects the couple from bad luck. During our time, usually after this function the bride and groom are not allowed to see each other till the wedding ceremony but nowadays people do the function together so its not followed anymore.",Bua explained and everyone nods in understanding.

"So go and rest now.",Naina said them and everyone starts leaving soon.

Ananya and Navya joined the elders conversation about tomorrow function and rest move towards their room.

Arya wraps his hand around nandini's shoulder.

"Its only 11. Come and join us, we all are gonna play some games, talk. Have a fun night like before. You can leave early to sleep. ", Arya suggested.

"I would have loved to but mom won't like it. Sorry. You guys enjoy. We will get together in the evening tomorrow and watch some movies and play games. Okay?",Nandini suggested and he nods.

"Fine. Sleep well. Tomorrow will be a fun day.",Arya said side hugging her.

"Goodnight",Nandini said and he greets back and kisses her forehead before leaving.

Next Day..

Nandini gets up early and takes a warm bath. She hears a knock on the door followed by Ananya ( Manik's sister in law ) and mukti's voice.

She opens the door and they get inside.

"Here, mom send the dress along with the jewelry. Wear it.",mukti said and she nods.

Mukti was wearing a yellow crop top with white palazzo pants. Ananya was wearing a yellow suit.

Ananya helps her with the saree as she recalls her wedding days and told nandini about it.

"I didn't know how to wear a saree and during the initial days my mother in law wanted me to wear one as guests would be coming every day. At that time Mami used to help me. She taught me how to cook too. I was clueless about everything.",Ananya said and Nandini smiles.

"Just like me.",Mukti said giggling scrolling through her phone sitting on the bed.

"Why don't you go and hang with the girls? You are getting bored sitting here.",Ananya said her.

"Bhabhi Everyone is getting ready and Navya and Alya are helping the elders already.",mukti said looking at nandini who was putting her earrings.

"You look beautiful.",mukti said taking her in a back hug.
