"Get down! Get the fuck down!" The whole police department stood outside of the police station pointing their guns at her as she stood there staring them down. All she knew was that Jasper had told her to do whatever they said. "GET THE FUCK DOWN!" They continued to yell and she put her hands up getting down on the ground laying flat on her stomach.Jasper made sure to park his car in the shadows watching from a distance as they took her into custody for the murders she'd been wanted for. As they touched her hauling her off in cuffs he knew that they'd have their hands full with her because she wasn't a regular woman by far. He exhaled grabbing his cellphone from the passenger seat to call Persia.
"Hello?" She answered on the first ring since she'd been sitting by the phone waiting to see if he'd put their plan into action. "Baby? Are you okay?" She asked worriedly as their children lay at the bottom of the bed watching television waiting for his return back to Vick's house.
"I'm good." Jasper chuckled into the phone. "Don't panic so much. It worked. At least I hope it does long enough for me to come up with something else."
"This is gonna be all over the news by tomorrow."
"When I told you that I'd do anything for you I meant that. This was our only way out of this. I'm just ready to live a normal life now without having to look over my shoulder. I'll always protect you."
"And for that..." Persia's eyes watered feeling a sense of relief. Something she hadn't felt in a long time. "I love you." She sniffled.
"I love you too. I got you. Always." Jasper smiled starting his car pulling off from the police station heading back to his wife and children.

"Baby you have to go to sleep. Can you be a big girl and do that for mama?" Mia asked her daughter who stared at her fully alert.
The sweet little girl wasn't tired for anything in the world and Mia regretted giving her any ice cream before bed because sugar only kept her up later than she wanted her to be. She'd given in to her cries and decided to let her have some. She could never stand to hear her cry or see her sad about anything. She'd grown so attached to her that she didn't want to lose her. She cherished her.
"I not tired. I stay up!"
"No. You go to bed baby." Mia picked her up from the bed placing her on her hip as she pulled the blanket back and put her daughter back into bed. She tucked her in and leaned down to kiss her head.
"Mommy sleep here."
"Sweetie I—"
As her daughter pouted looking as if she was on the verge of crying Mia exhaled crawling into bed with her.
"Yayyy!" Her daughter clapped happily before her mother wrapped her in her arms and held her snuggling her until she fell asleep.
"Goodnight Karlee. Mommy loves you so much." Mia whispered.
