Sam

What are you supposed to wear on a first date? Seriously, Sam had no idea and it was stressing him out.

After multiple outfit switches, he went with blue flannel, some jeans, and a brown jacket. This was basically his normal style, but oh well.

As he finished getting dressed he looked down at his phone to see a text from Gold. Butterflies suddenly filled his stomach.

Trickster: meet me here in ten

He had tagged a location, which gave Sam directions on how to get there. So, Sam headed out the door, locking his apartment door behind him.

The address turned out to be a quiet little coffee shop with very few people. Gold was already waiting inside with two cups of hot chocolate in front of him.

"When did you have time to find this place?" Sam asked as he sat across from his date, taking one of the drinks.

Gold smiled at the man's presence. "I definitely didn't sprint around the city trying to scout locations after you agreed to go out with me," he sarcastically joked.

Sam loved how easily the conversation came. It was almost like he didn't even have to try, it was just so comfortable.

"I have to show you all the really cool places around the city," Sam commented.

"Maybe some other time, Samoose," Gold replied. "'Cause I've got tonight all planned out.

Instead of focusing on the night being planned out, Sam's mind went somewhere else. "Samoose?"

"I have plenty more nicknames just like it, so live with it."

"Fine," Sam fake pouted. "Only if I get your real name by the end of the night." He tried to bargain.

"Deal." They shook hands and continued drinking their hot chocolate.

The next "phase" of the date, consisted of Gold taking Sam to the New York Aquarium, in a taxi, of course. When they got there, though, Sam remembered that they closed at 5. He also realized that his date wasn't leading them towards the main entrance.

"Is what we're doing illegal?" his voice wavered as he asked.

Gold simply pulled out a set of keys and unlocked a back door, "Relax, my cousin's friend works here."

This didn't convince Sam at all, but he didn't want to chicken out on the first date, especially not if he wanted a second one. So, he followed behind Gold, practically clinging to him out of fear of what would happen next.

The lights must have been motion sensored because as the two walked around, they began to turn on. Sam could see that they were in some sort of storage room. Small tanks with few fish were scattered around.

Gold continued to walk, out of the room and into a hallway. Sam followed. The lights turned on and Sam found a tank immediately in front of them the covered the entire wall, floor to ceiling. Inside was the tropical fish exhibit.

However, he didn't have much time to gawk. The pair continued walking and finally stopped in the main auditorium. They sat in seats and stared at the tank in front of them, still not speaking. Whale sharks swam gracefully as other, smaller fish swam about. But Sam mostly focused on the whale sharks.

He was so captivated that he couldn't help himself from walking up to the tank and investigating more closely. It was all so... real. These fish were actually living and moving around. They lived lives. They mated. Oh, shoot.

Sam turned back around to the auditorium, blush covering his face. "I'm so sorry," he quickly apologized to Gold. "I just kinda forgot where I was and the fish were so mesmerizing and the whale sharks looked so cool and-"

"It's alright," Gold cut him off. He stared at Sam with interest. "It was actually kinda cute."

"Really?"

"My name is Gabriel, by the way," he said before walking out of the room.

Lucifer/Satan

Gabe had left for his date with Sam an hour ago, which meant it was just Lucifer and Castiel in the hotel room.

At the moment, Lucifer was pacing across the room muttering under his breath, and Cas was working on drawing Chuck knows what.

"I shouldn't have gone there, but he overreacted. What did I ever see in that jerk?" Lucifer mumbled.

Cas had had enough. "Would you just stop already?!" It didn't help that he was still short-tempered from earlier, but Lucifer didn't know that.

As far as he knew, his brother never yelled unless it was significant, so he quit right away. He just stood in place and stared at Castiel. Calmly he asked, "What else is there for me to do?"

"I don't know. Get your anger out? Write about it or some shit."

This was a completely new side to Cas, but he still considered the advice. "I'm not an English person. Grammar isn't my friend."

"Then write a song, I don't care." Castiel stood up from the desk and left, hopefully to blow off some steam.

That actually wasn't a bad idea. He was working on putting out an album. And they did need more songs. It worked logically and emotionally, so he decided to give it a shot.

Lucifer grabbed a crappy hotel pen and borrowed one of Castiel's papers and set to work.

Castiel

Cas was just done. He had enough of this entire day. Everyone was pushing his buttons and making things worse.

He left the hotel room to try and get rid of some of this anger. Sometimes a little alone time is good for people. Castiel knew this very well, as he spent most of his time alone and he turned out pretty okay. Right?

He decided to go back to the bench he and the Winchesters were at earlier in the day. Maybe some of the happy moods they used to have was still lingering in the air.

As he approached the area, he noticed a figure sitting on the bench. Okay, maybe it was some random person. But as he got closer, he made the figure out to be Dean. Shit, shit, shit. Cas quickened his pace in an attempt to get past, but he ultimately failed.

"Cas?" he heard the familiar voice. A part of him considered not turning around, but he had already been rude to the guy once today. He couldn't do it again.

"Oh, hey, Dean," he acted surprised.

"What are you doing out here in the cold?" Dean seemed confused.

Cas tried not to be awkward but ended up with the opposite effect. "Ohhh, you know... just takin' a stroll."

"You must be freezing!" Dean exclaimed, referring to the fact that Cas didn't have a jacket. "Come on, we're going to grab some coffee."
