Lucifer/Satan

This Naomi chick was a piece of work. Lucifer seriously wondered who put a stick up her-

"Lucifer!" she yelled. "Pay attention when I am talking!"

"Yes ma'am," Lucifer put a bit of sarcasm behind his voice, but he doubted Naomi could sense human emotion.

She was in the middle of giving a lecture about how the boys needed to be better. Better singing. Better music. Better appearances. Better everything.

"This next part is for you Gold, so listen up," she continued. Lucifer perked up his ears too, just in case she crossed a line. "You need to lose weight. I'd say at least ten pounds by next week and then we'll go from there."

"Excuse me?" Gabe was clearly offended, as he should be.

No one talked to Gabriel that way, especially not under Lucifer's watch. "Yeah, maybe you should take a step off your pedestal there, bitch."

"I'm sorry, was I talking to you?"

Crowley spoke up. To be honest, until then Lucifer had forgotten he was even there. "Ten pounds sounds a little unreasonable, Naomi. Maybe we can settle on five?"

A switch flickered inside the "new manager". Some sort of rage fired up in her. "Get out of here, now! I don't even know who you are, let alone what the fuck you're doing here! Out! Now!"

The British man stormed out, angry. Well, to be honest, everyone in the room was angry at the moment, except for Chuck. He was just sitting in the corner watching as everything played out. Even Kevin was uncomfortable.

"Now, where was I?" she turned back to Gabe and Lucifer.

Michael

The group had left the bar a few hours ago. Now they were just chilling in the lobby, waiting to hear the horror stories of the Archangels' session with Naomi. At some point, Crowley had joined them. He looked like he had seen a ghost and practically ran out of the building. Which is saying something, because Crowley doesn't run.

Michael and Sam spent most of the time talking to each other. They knew better than to mess with Dean. He tended to be a little hot-headed. Besides, he was distracted by this new guy.

"So, what are your thoughts on this new group?" Michael asked his younger brother as they lounged on a couch.

Sam seemed a little reluctant to answer but did anyways. "I mean, it's kinda obvious they're new to this whole thing, but they'll get the hang of it. They're talented as heck, I can tell you that."

"Yeah," Michael reasoned. "But what do you think of the actual members?"

"Oh. Well, Castiel seems quiet, at least, when he's not with Dean. Satan seems kind leader-like, but my bet is he has a secret soft side. And Gold seems pretty cool, and he watches Sherlock, Doctor Who, and Not Natural, so he's gotta be chill. Why? What are your thoughts?"

"I was actually thinking of asking Lucifer on a date." Michael was very blunt about it.

Sam burst into a fit of giggles. "Since when are you the dating type?"

"Since now."

After about another hour of waiting, Satan and Gold finally walked out of the elevator. Gold went to go talk to Sam, so Michael seized the opportunity of getting Satan alone.

He slowly approached him with a bit of a smile on his face. "That must've been rough," he joked, trying to break the ice.

"No kidding," the man agreed.

"Look, I was gonna go out to grab a bite. Wanna tell me about your experience at dinner?" Michael bashfully asked.

Satan's face lit up, "I'd love to."

The two decided to walk to the restaurant because it was only 5:30 and they had some time to kill. When they got to their destination it was 6:30, a more reasonable time.

The restaurant itself was pretty nice. The two were given a booth in one of the corners, so it was pretty secluded from other people. In Michael's eyes, it was perfect.

"So, tell me about yourself," he tried starting.

Satan countered with a different question, "What do you want to know?"

"Well, I'm taking you on a date and I don't even know your name, so let's start there." Satan was hesitant to answer, so Michael spoke again. "I mean, it was on the list, wasn't it?"

The man gave in, "My real name is Lucifer."

"Wait, are you serious?"

"Yep, my parents were into angel names and stuff. Hence, Castiel."

Okay, that made a little bit of sense. But Michael was legitimately on a date with a guy named after the flipping devil.

They continued with polite conversation. They swapped stories of growing up with siblings and fun pranks that were always being pulled. Eventually, though, the talk slowed down.

After a few seconds of silence, Lucifer changed the conversation. "Look, I'm gonna be straight-forward here, I don't want to offend you." Michael sat forward in his seat, scared of what was about to happen. Lucifer took a deep breath, "I'm not gonna pretend I haven't heard the stories. Is the only reason you took me here because you're just trying to fuck me?"

All happiness was sucked out of Michael. He barely managed to speak out a hollow, "What?"

"I mean," Lucifer tried to defend himself. "It fits with that thing you said yesterday. And I know that's kinda what you're known for. I just figured this was a tactic. I assumed-"

Michael cut him off with a new sense of anger filling him. "You assumed. And you based that assumption off of rumors and lies. You were supposed to be different. You were supposed to not care about the past. My past."

"Sorry. No one informed me about these expectations you had for me." Lucifer shot back.

"Whatever, Lucifer. I'm out of here." Michael stood up from the table and left.

The night had become cold outside and Michael had left his jacket at his apartment. His only warmth was coming from the tears that were making their way down his face. It got to the point where he couldn't bear it anymore and went to Sam's apartment which was a shorter walk.

Why did he have to bring that up? They could've just carried on like normal, but Lucifer just had to mention that. The one thing Michael was most and least proud of.
