Castiel

Cas and the Winchesters made their way to Central Park. Along the way, they stopped to get smoothies, because the weather was surprisingly warm.

They entered the park as they crossed over from 6th Avenue and took the main path throughout the park. Cas noticed that Michael had kept to himself most of the time, but after overhearing what happened last night, he decided that was completely understandable.

As the group walked, something came into Dean's sight that turned him into a little kid. "We're riding the carousel!" he shouted and picked up the pace to get there faster.

Castiel couldn't help but smile to himself. He liked the mood Dean was in today. It didn't seem like he was bearing the weight of the world on his shoulders. He loved seeing Dean happy.

The previous night, Cas realized what the eyes he was drawing meant. They were Dean's eyes. This was just the beginning, but he had to come to terms that maybe he liked Dean as more than a friend. Hanging out with him at Central Park was only fueling this feeling.

The carousel ride was pretty fun, even though they kept getting strange looks from kid's and their parents. The Hunters took some selfies with fans, and it was a fun time.

Eventually, everyone found themselves sitting on a bench near a fountain doing what Dean called "people watching", something completely new to Cas. Let's just say there aren't very many people that stand out in Sioux Falls. At least, not like in New York.

Cas had just spotted a guy who had trash can lids as shoes when the Winchesters got a text on their group chat.

"Looks like Crowley wants us back for rehearsals," Michael stated, clueing Castiel in on what was going on.

Dean scoffed, "There's nothing to rehearse. We're done with the tour."

"He probably just wants us to keep our vocal cords and instrument skills in shape," Sam reasoned.

Dean gave in and the three stood up to leave.

"I guess I'll head back to the hotel room," Cas muttered under his breath and walked the other way.

He figured that he could get some more drawing in, he definitely needed the practice. It just hurt, though. He hated feeling close to people only to have them leave him. He needed real friends.

"Castiel!" he suddenly heard a voice call out. At first, he thought it was nothing, but then he heard it again. This time, he turned around to see that it was Dean shouting his name. The man caught up to Cas and continued talking. "Cas, why don't you come to sit in on our rehearsal?"

Gabriel/Gold

"Satan, you're pitchy as always!" Naomi was yelling on a rampage. "And Gold, you're still fucking fat! Both of you are disappointments to me, your family, and anyone you've ever loved! GET OUT!" She pointed towards the elevator and gave the two a death stare as they rushed out.

Why the hell did Chuck think this woman was okay? Every day, she tortured them and yelled at them. Every day, the producer just sat in the corner and watched, not saying a word.

Gabe, especially, felt bad about himself. Sure, he wasn't toned and fit, but no one had ever told him that he needed to lose weight. Did he? Was he that fat?

The elevator stopped in the lobby and Lucifer and Gabe slowly walked out. As they did so, some familiar faces passed by. Gabriel's mood became slightly better when he saw that Sam was one of them.

In a split-second decision, he decided to potentially make or ruin his day. He rushed up to the moose and didn't even stop to think before the words came pouring out of his mouth, "I don't know if you're gay, and it's totally okay if you're not, but I was wondering if you would want to go on a date with me later tonight when you finish up?" There were no spaces between his words, but Sam got the message.

The tall man simply grinned and said, "Took you long enough."

Was that a yes? Did Gabe just get a yes? Sam really agreed to go on a date with him? This better not be a dream.

Dean

Way to go, Sammy,  Dean thought to himself as the group continued their walk to the elevator. He couldn't believe his younger brother just scored a date.

Sam had come out as gay a few years ago, but he didn't tell the fans. He didn't think they would care. And even though it wasn't necessarily Dean's cup of tea, he still supported his brother.

The Hunters plus Cas headed up to the red studio. Crowley was already waiting.

"Crowley!" Dean greeted. "You don't mind if Cas sits in with us, right?"

Crowley, who was a lot more relaxed when not around Chuck, was perfectly fine with this idea. "Yeah, sure." He turned to Castiel, "Just don't mess with any of the buttons."

With that, the band walked into the booth and easily slid into rehearsal. Dean even let Cas pick a song for them to sing.

"Um, I don't know that I've ever listened to a Hunters song all the way through," Cas admitted.

Of course, this confused Dean, because, to be honest, he was a little narcissistic. He wouldn't show that to his guest though, so he brushed it off. "That's perfectly fine. Just give us your favorite song."

Cas had to think for a second. "Do you guys know 'Can't Help Falling in Love' by Elvis Presley?"

Without a second thought, Dean started to sing the song. Michael took a second, but eventually joined in with his guitar, and Sam provided the drums. Crowley played the rest quietly in the background.

After that, Crowley insisted that the band sing their own songs. Castiel seemed to be enjoying them. Dean hoped he was.

Almost an entire album later, there was one song left. Dean decided that it was now or never. "Hey, Cas. You should join us on this song."

The man began to object, "No, no. I'm not one of the singers in my family."

"Please?"

"I don't know, Dean."

This continued for another two minutes. Finally, Cas caved by declaring that he would do "one song and one song only". Dean happily gave him a paper with the lyrics as he walked into the booth.

The music began playing and Dean came in with the opening verse. Castiel followed suit and took the second verse.

The minute that man opened his mouth, Dean's mind was blown. Cas sounded like a literal angel! There was no doubt that he was better than both of his brothers. And Dean wasn't even competition.

When the song came to a close, Dean had to express all of this. "Dude! Where have you been hiding that voice? I think that's the best thing I've ever heard!"

"It wasn't that good," Cas shied away. He took a step back.

"No way," Dean argued. He then turned to Crowley who was listening outside of the booth. "We need to get him on our next album."

Again, Cas was modest, "I really don't think-"

"You're really good," Sam agreed to back his brother up.

Michael even joined in, "Yeah, you should definitely be featured on our album, man."

For some reason, Dean didn't know why, but the polite and quiet man that was originally before them snapped. "I said I'm not doing it!" he declared.
