When lunch was over I told Shawn I'd pick up the kids since he had to take Eric back to queens. Marcus and I ended back in the car and went to get the kids. I got out to get them. I walked into the auditorium and Amir was walking up to me all slow.

"What's wrong? Where's Cori?" I asked.

"She got in trouble." He said.

I scanned the auditorium and saw Cori sitting near the teacher. I walked that way and Amir was following me.

"Hi, Ms. Flowers." I said.

"Hi, Ms. Knowles." She said. "Are you picking up Cori today?"

"Yes I am." I said eyeing Cori. 

"Well Cori had to have a time out for using inappropriate language." She said.

"Oh she did." I said.

"Yes." She said. "There's a note in her backpack and her father must sign it for her to be admitted back in class tomorrow."

"Okay, I'll make sure her father gets it." I said. "Come on Cori."

Cori got up slowly and walked over to me.

"Do you have something you want to say to your teacher?" I asked.

"I'm sorry for saying bad words and I won't do it anymore." She said.

The teacher nodded her head and we left. The way Amir is acting you would think he got in trouble too but his little but his partner in crime is in trouble so play time is over.

I opened the door for them to get in.

"BB, are you gonna tell my daddy?" Cori asked.

"Cori, get in the car." I said ignoring her question.

She tried to play all innocent with that question. I walked over to the drivers side but didn't get in and called Shawn.

"Hey." He answered.

"Baby, Cori got in trouble at school today." I said.

"What she do?" He asked.

"Inappropriate language." I said.

"You handle that." He said.

"What?" I asked.

"Bey, I'm giving you permission to punish her. By the time I see her there won't be any use." He said. "But let me talk to her real quick."
