Shawn's POV

"Hello?" I answered my phone as I played the game.

"Baby, what are you doing?"

"Nothing why?"

"I want you to go get a haircut and then I want you to get dressed and I'll pick you up a seven."

I paused my game and took the phone from between my ear and shoulder and looked at it.

"Baby." I heard.

"Yeah, I'm still here."

"Are you gonna do what I say?"

"I don't know." I said smiling.

"Shawn, don't get difficult. Do what I say."

"Fine but what about the kids?"

"I got it covered." She said. "Go get nice and I'll see you later."

"Okay." I said.

She hung up and I smiled. I checked my watch and I had time. I started playing the game again.

It's been about a month since Marcus's accident. Of course Bey's been focusing on getting Marcus back to health and the guardianship thing and I understand that. I'm not a clingy guy and I have a life outside of my relationship as well so I gave her space to do what she had to do.

After about two hours I went to get a hair cut and then I went back to the house. After I took a shower I was just standing in my closet. Did she say casual or not?

I got my phone to call her.

"Is this casual or what?" I asked.

"Casual."

"So where you taking me?"

"I'm not telling you."

"Why not?"

"Because I'm not be ready at seven."

"Alright."

After I hung up I went to get dressed. I was looking pretty damn good as I brushed my hair. I grabbed some gum, my phone, wallet and keys. I walked down the steps and like clock work I heard the elevator ding.

"Shawn!"

"I'm coming." I said walking down the remaining steps.

"You looking good." She said.

"You look better." I said as I admired her outfit.
