i rolled out of bed turning my alarm clock off and got dressed. i was about to put on a crop top and sweats. but then i remember that i actually had to look nice for my "boyfriend"
i was about to change into a crop top and a skirt but immediately changed back into sweats because i didn't care that much.

i got to school and went to my locker.
i then found a note. from ethan.
hey em,
don't forget today :) see you after second period
- your boyfriend
i blushed at the fact that he said boyfriend even it was all for show.
"hey emma"
i immediately closed the note and shoved it in my backpack.
"hey kayla,"
"walk with me to first period?" she asked
"yeah"
kaylas my friend. she used to be my best friend until we had a falling out. but I made the mistake of giving her a second chance.

after i got through first and second period i walked over to the tables. i saw ethan there waiting for me. when he saw me his eyes lit up.
"emma!"
"hey e."
he got my hand and kissed me once he saw that grayson and kayla were looking.
we sat down at the tables and gray, kayla, and my best friend audrey moved in and they all said at the same time,
"you and ethan?!"
i looked over at ethan waiting for him to say something, and when he didn't, i took the lead.
"uh yeah, i guess it just happened."
"how?!" grayson asked which made me happy because it seemed like he cared.
"yeah and.. you guys are literally best friends?!" kayla said which caused ethan to smile too.
"well, we were both done waisting our time liking other people and finally realized that we liked each other."
ethan gave my thigh a little squeeze saying "good job"
i looked over at audrey who wasn't saying anything until she bursted.
"EMMA CHAMBERLAIN IM YOUR BEST FRIEND AND I FIND OUT LATE?"
i laughed until she got up and pulled me aside.
"emma are you guys actually dating?"
i looked over at ethan as he gave me a smile
"yeah of course"
"no you're not you're lying!"
"no audrey, i'm really not,"
i said as i slowly started walking towards the tables.
"yeah sure em. i know you. you've liked grayson and now all of a sudden ethan? i know what you're doing"
i ignored her because she was right.
