Chapter 4

Nayla's POV~

"Masiah!.. Cadence!"

I waited to hear their tiny little foot steps run to the kitchen.

"You munchkins hungry?" I say looking in the freezer taking out some wings and vegetables.

"Yes LaLa mama not feed us" Masiah says and Cadence nods her head with her sippie cup in her mouth.

That pissed me off so badly. I didn't even know the woman but I wanted to snatch her by her wig with her disrespectful ass. You can talk shit to me all you want just feed your damn kids first.

"Ok go back to your rooms I'll call you when dinner is ready babies" 

Masiah dances off but Cadence stays

"LaLa can you get me some more duice"
She holds out her cup

"Of course honey" I give her some apple juice and then she's off to her room.

I had dinner ready in an hour. I had made fried chicken, mixed vegetables, mashed potatoes and gravy with some cookies as their dessert.

"The food is ready!"

They both rush in the kitchen to their mini table. I found it so adorable.

"It smells so gooood" Masiah says. He was about to dive in with his fork but I took his plate away.

Masiah frowned.

"No no no" I say. "We say grace before eating"

"Wats gwace?" Cadence asks.

"Well it's basically a Thank you to God" Masiah says and I stoop down to their table.

"That's right Masiah" I smile at him

"Who's God?" Cadence asks

"The creator of Earth and the creator of Life" I say pinching her cheeks. "Now give me your hands" they comply

"God is great God is good and we thank him for our food by his hand we must be fed give us Lord our daily bread Amen now you two can eat"

"Oh and if you eat all of your food you get a cookie"

"Yayyyy" they say in excitement.

I walk away with my plate and eat at the dinner table.

It was 10:20 PM and the kids had already ate. I bathed them, brushed their teeth, and washed their faces. I had did the same. I had let them watch a little movie before Bed. The closing credits were on the screen and they were both knocked out on my lap. We had watched the Lion King.

I heard the door rattling before it was open. It was Jonathan.

"Hey" he says looking at me and smiling.

"Hey" I say back picking up Masiah. "How was your day?"

"Long and tiring But I do what I gotta do. I love it" he says picking up Cadence we put them in their rooms and came back to the living room.

I break the silence. "I made you a plate it's in the microwave."

He instantly gets up goes to the kitchen and takes the plate from the microwave and eats it.

"Thank you so much." He says with a mouthful of food. "I was so hungry I spent all day in the studio. I didn't eat anything and this is sooo damn good" he moans out.

That sound made me wet. I wanted to hear it again and again. I rest my head on my hands looking at him from the living room couch "No problem I'll be making dinner every night so get used to it."

"Oh I can definitely do that." He says

I get up when I see that his plate is empty. I take it wash it and put it in the rack.

When I turned around Jonathan was looking at me weird. He was biting his lip and he was rubbing his chin.

"Well thank you again Nayla. My schedule is cleared tomorrow so how about we take the kids to do something fun and just chill?"

"Yeah no problem that sounds good, Goodnight Jonathan and sleep well."

"Goodnight." He walks away towards his bedroom.

I had FaceTimed Kayla before going to bed.

"Heyy biiiitchhhh" she says loud as hell

"Shut yo loud ass up it's too late for all that"

"Well spill the tea and I want all of it how is it there??"

"So far so good. Besides the disrespectful ass baby momma he has beautiful children and they're both so great. I can see myself loving this job. I already feel comfortable here."

"I'm glad to hear that. That's good girl..I just want you to be happy and I see that you're fine and why the babymommas always come with they damn drama, only kick ha ass if you have to."

"Exactly. She already didn't feed the babies and she had a problem with me being here but I'm not tripping. I'm here for the kids."

"Right right. So what's with you and Jonathan?"

I mugged her cause I knew she was gonna ask and she always being nosy.

"He does something to me. He will do little slick stuff but they're things that I can't question him about and I won't either. I get shy around him. You should see me bitch but like I said I'm here for his kids."

"Mhmmm. I understand."

Shaking my head I say "Goodnight Kay, I love you."

"Goodnight boo I love you too."

We hang up and I am knocked.
