Chapter 12

Nayla's POV~

Today was Cadence Birthday. She had made Jonathan a scrap book and she wanted to give him a necklace that said I love you on it. I think it's so sweet. She said "I want to thank Daddy for my life."

Yep I cried when she said that. Today was important to her and all she wanted was her Dad to be there for her birthday and give him that gift. He had a show tonight and he had promised he wouldn't miss it and if he was late he would make it in time to cut the cake for her. She had another surprise for him too. She had a speech she wanted to say to him.

"Jonathan baby don't forget if you can't make it back at 6 make it around 8. That's when we cut the cake." He nods on the passenger side of the car.

"Nick if you don't have him back in time I will flip my shit. I've already talked to you on how important this is for Cadence. I'm depending on you to get him back on time."

"I got it ma'am."

"Alright that's all I need to hear." Then he drove off.

I had everything ready for the party. The decorations were up. I had gone with pink and purple as the theme since those were her favorite colors.

I had balloons in front of the house and a banner that said 'The party is here'

It was too cute and Cadence loved it.

The party starts at 1pm and it's 12:44pm.
I was adding the finishing touches when I heard the doorbell ring.

It rang again and again.

"I'm coming!!"

I walked to the door and opened it.

I couldn't believe who I saw. It was Kayla with a suitcase.

"Omg!! Kayla what are you doing here???"

I instantly reach out to hug her.

"Well Jonathan wanted me to surprise you. He said you were getting a little lonely and asked if I wanted to stay over for a few weeks. Of course mom agreed to let me come she's been wanting me to get out of the house and now I'm ranting. I'm just so excited to see you!!" She cheeses

"Well come in. I'll show you around."

"This house is fucking gorgeous."

"I know right." We were in the guesthouse. I had shown her the whole house and I was now showing her where should would be staying.

"Tell me something. I know you got some dick by now. I know it's something you need to tell me. How are the kids?"

"Well I'm fine for starters. I'm having the time of my life here. No I haven't gotten dick from hi-"

"What! You telling me you been here for two months and you ain got nan one piece of tip."

I laugh "oh my lord. I am not some hoe. I believe in building a relationship up. Sex isn't the only thing that should thrive a relationship. If you would have let me finish we're dating . Me and Jonathan are exclusive now and his kids are great. I love them. I love taking care of them. I'm not their mom but I'm doing my best with loving them with my all."
