Chapter 5

Nayla's POV~

"Nick I need you here around 2:30 I'm taking the kids out today." I heard Jonathan saying on the phone.

It was currently 9:45 Am. He was up early and it was no where near 2 but I might as well start getting myself and the kids ready so we could be ready beforehand.

I had picked my outfit out already. It was a navy blue striped body suit and I paired some blue 97's to go with it.

I had went to Cadence room first.

"Babygirl you have to wake up." I shake her awake slightly and she gets up but she starts crying from being sleepy.

I pick her up and and rock her back and forth then I go to Masiah's room. He was already up watching PJ masks. I see he's the early bird.

"Masiah sweetie come on so I can get y'all ready for today and feed y'all. You can watch TV in the living room baby." I hold my hand out for him to take and he takes it. When I turned around Jonathan was at the doorway smiling.

"You would make a great mom one day." He compliments

"Well thank you."

"Now get ya big head out the door way so I can take care of ya babies."

He laughs and takes Masiah and goes to the bathroom with him. I follow behind him.

We all wash our faces and brush our teeth. Once we we're done. We let them go in the living to watch some TV and play. I turned on Miraculous for them and headed off to the Kitchen.

"What are you gonna make?" Jonathan asks

"I was thinking some pancakes, eggs, French toast, and bacon sounds good." I say looking into the fridge pulling out the items.

"Sounds good to me Chef."

I smiled then went to cooking.

I had breakfast ready in no time. The whole time Jonathan sat in the kitchen and watched me work. He didn't even say anything he just watched. I liked the attention even though he made me nervous. I loved it.

"Babies come eat." I had their plates set at their table and ours set on our table.

"Y'all know the drill." They put their hands together and so did I and they started to say grace. I was amazed on how fast they learned it but I'm glad they did.

"Amen." They say

"Amen." Me and Jonathan say at the same time

"You taught them grace? I love it, you amaze me more and more. I feel like a bad father." He chuckles

"You're far from it. Even if you were those two would love you to death regardless." I say

We lock eyes but I break first.

I looked over at the kids and they were done. Cadence was licking her plate which made me laugh so hard, Jonathan and Masiah joins in.

"I see it was good Cadence."

"It wasss." She claps
