Chapter 10

Nayla's POV~

I had woken up in Jonathan's arms. My man. Oh didn't I love saying that. I didn't even tell my Dad that we were exclusive let alone close in any way. I'll get to it later. Now isn't the time.

Jonathan really surprised me last night. I didn't expect him to open up to me that much but he did. I felt a level of comfort with him and I'm glad he's been making the efforts to get to know me better. He isn't like any of the other guys I've messed with. He's different, better... a real man.

"Good morning baby." A sleepy Jonathan says from my side.

"Hey you're woke up early, usually you sleep in." I rub his head and peck his lips.

"I was just so excited to see the beautiful woman that I was gonna wake up to"

"Mhmmmm"

I push him outta the bed.

"You've got work." I hurry up and run before he catches up to me knowing I wasn't gonna get away with what I just did but I didn't care.

"LaLa!!" Masiah yells from the living room

"You back!!" He claps

I pick him and spin him around.

"Yes I am and guess what.." I motion for him to come closer

"Yes??" he says

"I missed you!" I attack him with my hands tickling him. His giggles making my face turn into a bright smile.

The next thing you know. I'm being picked up by Jonathan and covered in all kisses.

"Get off of me." I giggle

"That wasn't cute." He says then releasing me

"Masiah go get your sister. Y'all got school tomorrow."

"What? Why didn't you tell me? We need to go school shopping and get there book bags and clothes an-"

"Mamas calm down I already got all of that. The only thing you need to do is drop them off and pick them up. I already put their school location in your gps. Don't worry."

"Ok I'm calm I almost had a panic attack because that is so unprofessional and i wanted to buy their stuff." I pout taking a seat in the high stool.

Jonathan chuckles "My girl. I'm sure there will be something they'll need along the way."

"You're right."

"LaLa!! I mwisseddd you soo much." Cadence runs to me and hugs me.

"I missed you too sweetie. Was Uncle Khalick good to y'all?"

"Yess but he no better than LaLa."

Me and Jonathan both laugh.

"I know that's right." Jonathan says.

"Jonathan come on you have to go to work now baby. I made you some food to take with you." I hand him the container with some breakfast food in it and I kiss him later.

"See you tonight." Then he's gone

I fed the kids their breakfast and I had put them on some fresh new clothes. They wanted to go to movies but I wanted to wait until Jonathan had got back home. We we're gonna see Descendants 3. They both really wanted to see it. I know it's a school night but I couldn't say no to them.

I had took a shower, put on a shirt dress and some cute sandals for my outfit. I also did my make up. I wanted to see how Jonathan was gonna react to it. It wasn't a bold look. More
Neutral but I did have on some dark brown lipstick and liner. I think I look good.

The doorbell rings

I went to answer the door and it was Jonathan. He had his head down. He was too busy picking up grocieries off the front porch.

"Baby I bought some groceries, I wanted to
help." he says while walking to the kitchen and emptying the bags on the table.

"Thanks baby that was sweet of you. I'll put them up go get ready."

He goes off to the room to get changed.

I was almost done with putting the food away when Jonathan smacks my ass. Hard.

"Ouch! What did you do that for???" I say not looking at him.

"Cus that ass look fat and It's all mines."

"Why you not looking at me mamas"

He gets in my personal space behind me and he turns me around. Now i'm pressed against the fridge.

He examines my face.

"Huh..You look cute but It don't fit you mamas. All that product shit on yo face. I'm not gone ever tell you that you're not beautiful because you are and I'm not gonna tell you what to do with your face or tell you how to dress but at the same time i'm not gonna lie to you either."

I huffed. "I knew you weren't gonna like it but at least you were honest."

"I never said I didn't like it. All I'm saying is that I love your natural face. I know make up is a thing for women. Hey do you." He smiles

"We have a movie to get to. I'll get the kids strapped in their car seats." I say then walk away from him.

I hope he doesn't think I'm upset because I'm not. I mean it's common for this conversation to pop up in a relationship. Especially if you love wearing make up from time to time. They guy always has to tell you that you're better without it and they still won't understand that we don't wear it because we want to please somebody or look like a 'clown' but we wear it cus we like it for ourselves.

The kids were all buckled up and so was I.

Jonathan was just setting the alarms before we left.

Nick doesn't really drives us around much. The only time he drives really is when he is taking Jonathan to work.

Jonathan gets in the car then pulls out of the garage.

"Are y'all ready for the movie." He asks the kids

"Yes Daddy I ready." Cadence says

She's so cute.

"Me too Daddy." Masiah says

He's so cute.

These kids and Jonathan are just what I need.
