Chapter 15

Jackson and Max are still talking. I am sitting on the couch, holding Max's hand not talking. I swear his hand is getting tighter and tighter by the minute.Come upstairs. We are waiting for you. I am kindof scared for a second, but then remember that it is Charles. I say, "I will be right back. They are here." Max gets up automatically and I say, "I'm fine. If I'm in trouble, then I will scream." I smile and let go of his hand. Max slowly sits down, still looking at me. He has one eyebrow in the air. I walk up the stairs and open the door. I stare at two men, and they stare back. The man with brown hair above his shoulders says "Hello. Its finally nice to meet you. I am Charles." I extend my hand and say "Violet."

The man to his left says "I am Henry." I shove my hands in my pocket and say "Hey. Do you guys want to come in?" I feel so awkward right now. Henry says "Oh ya." I open the door a little more so Henry and Charles can come in. Henry walks in and Charles doesnt move. I look back and Henry is looking arounsd. Charles comes closer and says "Max is afraid that he is going to loose you again." Then he walks in. I am still standing here in shock. I let go of the door and shut it quietly. Is that why Max was holding onto my hand so tightly? I guess so.

I say "Follow me." And dont look back. I walk down the basement stairs and I hear them behind me. When I look down the stairs Max and Jackson arent talking anymore. They are looking at us. I walk down the last step and dont say another word. I stand next to Jackson, who is sitting up. I look over at Max and he is laying down on the couch. For some reason he looks so relaxed. Henry looks at all of us and doesnt say anything. He just looks around. Charles extends his hand and says "Hello my name is Charles." Jackson shakes his hand and says, "Nice to meet you."

Then Charles walks over to Max and does the same thing, but Max is just a blur. I look at Jackson, and he looks the same I do. Confused. Then he is infront of us. I jump back. "What the hell?!" Jackson says. Max says to Charles and Henry, "You are not taking them away. They were already taken away by a crazy man. We are only down here and not in school because the guy is looking for them." I look at the back on Max's head. See I told you. Charles says to me in my mind. I look at Charles automatically. He grins at me and then walks closer to us.

Henry says fasinated, "What are you, a teleported?" Max was going to say something but then Charles cut him off, "He just runs really fast. Faster then the speed of sound." Henry looks at us amazed. I walk infront of Max and I feel his hand on my arm. "What power do you have?" I ask. Henry smiles a little and says "I turn into a blue beast." I look at the floor and say "Cool." Charles says to Max, "I am not going to hurt them." I notice that Charles has a british accent. Then he looks at all of us, "I am trying to get Dion too." Max, Jackson and I say "What?" at the same time.

Charles and Henry smile, "Ya." Henry says "We have been trying to find him for years." Jackson says "Why?" Max lets go of my arm and I sit down. I lay down on the couch with my feet up. But my head is up too. "Because" Charles says "His father is Erik." I dont know who that is. Max inhales very loudly, "Oh my god." Jackson and I look at each other confused. "I dont understand." I say. Because I really dont understand. Who is Erik? Charles says "Erik is a bad person. He can control metal. But people call him Magneto." That explains a lot about his son.

"And we dont know where he is. But now we know that his son is here." Charles puts two fingers up to his head and closes his eyes. In the meanwhile, Henry says "What is your power Violet?" I smile and say "I can control things with my mind." Henry's eyes open. "And I can teleport." Jackson says. "Hold on" Jackson says "What about the whole school thing?" Henry says "Oh ya. You guys are going to come to a school for people like you. And we also need all three of you to help us get Dion."

"How?" Max asks. "Well," Henry says "We need Violet for many things. Jackson, for teleporting us there and getting there faster. And you Max, for grabbing Dion and bringing him to the school. You all have to stay at the school for a little while." Jackson says "Are our parents okay with it?" "Yes." Henry says. Charles says "I know where he is. He is still at the school. Dion is looking for you and Jackson." I look at Jackson and we dont move or say anything. To be honest, I really dont know what to do right now. Charles says "We need to go now. Max, we will wait for you to ask your-" "I already did." Max cuts him off. "When you were talking to violet at the door earlier, I asked my parents and they said sure."
