"Baby, it's nothing, okay?" I sigh into the phone, rubbing my face in frustration. I called Jorge after Drew left my house to tell him what was going on.

"I just don't understand why you didn't just tell Drew no. It's so simple, Benji."

"It's not, though. He thinks I was hooking up with girls all last year and he's getting suspicious," I know I'm being selfish and it's hurting Jorge. If it was the other way around, I'd be upset too. I just don't want anyone to know yet.

"Okay, well were you?" Jorge says in a sassy tone.

"Obviously I wasn't," I roll my eyes.

"Okay, so what exactly are you planning on doing?" I can imagine Jorge laying on his bed, looking at the ceiling. I smile at the thought of him still in my sweatshirt and cuddled up in blankets.

"I don't know," I wish he was with me right now. "I'm just going to talk to her at lunch, which you'll be there anyways, and maybe at the party on Friday."

"Just talking?" Jorge breathes.

"Yes, baby. Nothing else," I smile. "You don't need to be jealous."

"I am not jealous," Jorge scoffs.

"Alright, sure," I laugh. "Come over."

"Miss me already?"

"Yes," I do. I miss him whenever I'm not with him. "I'm coming to get you."

"Benji," Jorge laughs as I stand up to put my shoes on and grab my keys.

"I promise, it'll be fine," I wrap my arms around Jorge's waist and pull him into me. I looks down at him and smile.

"I don't want to watch you flirt with someone else, boy or girl," Jorge sighs. I lean down and kiss him softly.

"Only for a few days to get Drew off my back, okay?" The janitors closet we're in is filled with tension. "After today if it's really that bad I'll stop."

"I have to see her. We're friends and we cheer together," Jorge looks up at me.

"I know, baby," I don't know how to make this better for him. "Can you spend the night tonight? I can pick you up after practice?"

"It's Monday," Jorge laughs. "And we have school tomorrow."

"So, we'll get up early and I'll take you to your house in the morning to get ready," I sleep better when he's with me. "Please?"

"Stop," Jorge laughs when I give him my best pouty face. I kiss his nose and smile at him.

"I'll see you there?" I smile at him and walk out of the closet when he nods. When I get to the cafeteria, I grab lunch and sit at the table were my friends and Jorge's friends always sit. I sit down in the empty seat next to Laney and smile at her.

"Hey," Laney smiles at me. Drew looks up and wiggles his eyebrows at me.

"How are you?" I ask and begin eating my food. Jorge sits down across the table next to Olivia without looking at me.

"Really good. I missed you at the party on Saturday," Laney blushes.

"I heard it was fun," I smile at her.

"It was. Where were you?" She pokes around at her food.

"Oh, uh," I look at Jorge who's staring down at his phone with a deep scowl on his face. "I had some family stuff I needed to deal with."

"Will you be there on Friday? After the game?"

"He will be," Drew interrupts. I give him an annoyed look but he just shrugs his shoulders.

I take my phone out and turn the brightness all the way down so nobody can see what I'm doing. I go to Jorge and I's messages.

"I love you," I sent him a text and close my phone. Out of the corner of my eye, I watch Jorge pick up his phone and roll his eyes with a small smile on his lips.
