Once I got Johnny to go I looked at the boys. "Johnny was never here got it?" I said as I popped in Plaines and moved to the kitchen.
"Sounds good Baits now I would like to spend the night with my kids." He said and hung up.
"Hi daddy. What are you doing home this early?" I asked.
"Early honey it's nearly ten." He said. Gosh time flew. "Why did you buy take out when you said you were going to make pot pies with the boys." I had said that. Ummm think.
"Take out just kind of presented its self to night." I said. In the hands of Jonathan Disney. I thought to my self.
"Maybe we can make them tomorrow night I asked for a shift change over the weekend." He said. A weekend with my dad that hardly happened anymore.
"I actually might have to work this weekend." Dammit I thought. We never have a weekend off together.
"Well we can do it Friday?" He asked.
"Maybe I have to check something at school I will call you if I can't make it." I told him. God Johnny was going to cause more trouble than he was worth.
The next day dad woke up before me and set out on making a really big breakfast. "Hey sweetie go get the boys please." He said. I went back up stairs.
"Boys get up dad is making breakfast." I said.
"Daddy is eating cereal with us?" Asked Tommy.
"No baby he's making eggs and bacon." I said. Tommy's face scrunched up at eggs he never was a large fan of them. We went down stairs and my dad had laid out four plates on one side of the breakfast bar. We sat around and dad asked about what we would be doing for the day. When we finished breakfast I went up to my room and got dressed. I put on a long sleeve shirt and my jeans with my Uggs. I put on my Dublin pullover then put my hair up and left.
"Come on boys we have to go." I said coming down stairs. They were dressed but they were still sitting on the couch as I called them. I grabbed my car keys. "Boys get going to the car we don't have time to pack you a lunch today I will give you money for lunch come on." I said not having time for this.
"Dad said he would take us to school. He's making our lunches right now." Said Kia looking up at me as I picked up the movies. I went into the kitchen.
"Are you sure you are taking them?" I asked.
"Yes I'm sure I can take my children to school." He said like he could not believe I had asked.
"It's just part of what I do in the morning." I said.
"Sadie it's fine I can take the boys to school." He said packing lunches.
"Okay well I'll be going." I said leaving the kitchen. "Be good boys and remember the rules." I said kissing each one good bye.
When I got to school I pulled up and Johnny was talking with someone else. So I waited. When the other boy left I walked up. "Your here early." He said.
"Here are your movies." I said pulling them out. He laughed taking them back.
"So about tonight." He said putting them in his bag.
"Oh God tonight, thank you what time were we meeting?" I asked.
"Well Sidney said that she would watch the boys for the night so I thought we would meet at your house." He said leaning agents the tree.
"No my dad changed his shifts so he will be home so I need like specifics on what we will be doing the more truths I can tell the less lying I have to do. That's part of the reason I'm early." I said. Johnny laughed.
"Oh you don't want to lie to daddy." I shoved him.
"Shut up no the less lie I have to tell the less likely we are to get caught and get in trouble." I said.
"Oh so your worried for me?" He asked.
"You know I was part of that sentence too right?" I asked.
"Sorry what?" He joked like he had spaced out. I shoved against his chest and he caught my wrist.
"Shut up." I laughed.
"So we can meet at my house that's where the party will be any way." He said.
"Okay. What time?" I asked.
"Around eleven if that's okay with you the party will start at nine though so what ever time you can get out." He said.
'Okay."
I had called my dad and told him that I would be able to make dinner.
