29: Closure

The door banged once more and then opened as Jenna was expecting to see Cade rush in and save her as always. Instead she was welcomed by her savior who was her mom. She looked like heaven sent even though there was blood on her face, her dress was torn and bruises and cuts marred her skin along with purple and red marks on her face. She was wielding a gun confidently as if she knew what she was doing and her face darkened when she saw Jenna.

She never seen the look on her face before and it scared Jenna as she cried, "Mom!"

"Get off her you son of a bitch." She said between clenched teeth and Lorenzo put his hand up as he said, "They forced me to." He moved away and tucked his semi hard erection into his pants before moving off Jenna. "Get those off her." Esmeralda said as she pushed the tip of the gun at Jenna's binds and Lorenzo moved as she asked him to. "They will kill us." He said as he looked for something to undo the binds.

"They're already dead." She said, her voice dead and flat as Lorenzo moved his face to look at the petite woman in front of him. His eyes narrowed as he undid Jenna's binds and she jumped up towards her mom as she fixed her clothing. She cried as her heart beat double time and she held her mom's arm. "Lead the way, I'll watch our back." Esmeralda told her daughter as Jenna led the way out.

They both exited the room and Jenna saw a body on the ground that was slumped over, hearing a crying sound that wasn't her own. Marabelle was tipped over on her chair and she was crying as they moved out, Esmeralda still pointing her gun at Lorenzo. "We'll move towards the exit nice and slow. Your father should be here soon." She said as they moved and Marabelle said, "Untie me! Lorenzo!"

"Help is coming." Esmeralda said as they moved again. "I don't trust them." She said as they moved towards what Jenna had to think was an exit. They were in a pretty bare and empty warehouse that she wondered if it was one of the warehouses on the harbor as they moved and she could hear faint water in the background.

Jenna opened the door to see sun as they exited the warehouse and she fell to her knees that for once, she was so happy to see the city. She cried as her mom embraced her and put her head under her chin. "Shh, baby. You're okay now." She said and Jenna could hear her voice crack when she said it. She could still see the gun in her mom's hands as she grabbed her to move them both up. "We need to get out of here." She said and Jenna nodded as she tried to get up from their position. There was the sound of a helicopter in the distance and sirens as they both moved.

A vehicle stopped in front of them as Jenna was so glad to see her father and she cried as she tried to move her legs but they wouldn't budge. Right after she saw the one person whom she knew she couldn't be without. Cade.

He ran to her and grabbed her as there was something in his eyes as he had her cheeks in his palms, looking over her. She cried as he hugged her and he pulled away, "Are you hurt?" She shook her head just wanting to feel him, instead she was pulled away as a paramedic moved her. Cade didn't want to let go but he knew they needed to do their job and check to see if she was okay. "The men are dead and Giovannis are in there." Esmeralda said as another paramedic moved her as well. Lazarus took hold of the gun earlier and had it in the ground as the police took over. He followed after the paramedic and so did Cade.

"Do you need a rape kit?" The paramedic asked and Jenna shook her head. "No I wasn't assaulted."
"Yes." Esmeralda said as tears burned in her eyes and Jenna's head flew to her mother. "No." She breathed and the look on Lazarus looked like he wanted to kill someone. Jenna had never seen her father so angry as he would rarely let his emotions show. "I'm not sure if anything happened, and I couldn't tell." She told them and they nodded. "We'll be transporting the both of you to the hospital." They said as they had them on a stretcher before moving them into the vehicle. "You go, I'll find out what I can." Lazarus told Cade and he knew that his father in law at this point in time was raging violently. He knew what the man was intending on doing and if he stayed here himself, he'd be sure he'd do the same exact thing.

Cade jumped into the emergency vehicle and they went to the hospital.

It was midnight when They we're finally cleared to go home and Lazarus has come back an hour earlier.
"Lorenzo disappeared and Marabelle was admitted as well. The three men that were killed were all hired men and well, you had a good shot." Lazarus said to Esmeralda. She smiled softly, her cheeks purple and there was butterfly bands on the other cheek.

"There is no sign of tearing and if he did do something he didn't get far." Esmeralda told her husband. "I'm so sorry." She told him and he grabbed her as he embraced her mom. "I should be apologizing. I let you down." He whispered.

"No, what you taught me saved me." She said and he nodded. "Let's go home."

Jenna said bye to her parents and Cade grabbed her hand as hey made their way to leave as well. They were silent as they got home and both went into the room. "Here's some painkillers and tea. It should help you sleep." He told her as he placed the mug into her hands. Jenna put the mug onto the night stand and left the pills forgotten.

"I don't want to sleep." She told him and he looked at her as he asked, "What do you want to do?"

Jenna straddled his hips as she looked down into his eyes. "I need you to make me forget. Forget the feeling of his hands on me." She whispered as she moved down to give him a kiss on his lips. Her lips touched his soft lips and she pulled back as a tear fell down her cheek, her chin trembling. "You don't have to do this." He told her and Jenna sniffed as she put her palms on his cheek and jaw. "I need to." She said and he wiped a tear from her cheek.

"I was so scared." She said and he wrapped his arms around the small of her back to pulled her closer to him as he embraced her tight yet comforting. She sniffed again as she wiped the tear from her other cheek with the palm of her hand. "He...he tried to impregnate me." she stuttered remembering the feel of his clammy hands on her breasts and the scaly taste of his tongue. "Kiss me." she whispered and Cade did just that. "I need you." She said as he pulled her to him, shifting their bodies so that he was over her and her body under his.

"What did he do, whatever he did I will erase the memory from your body. It won't be soft. I vow to stake my claim on you." Cade said as he looked into her red, brown eyes. Jenna nodded to him as she smiled a sad smile. "I love you." She said and Cade froze as he looked deep into her eyes to see if she was really saying it or if she was in the moment.

"What?" He asked her.

"When Lorenzo was with me, all I could think of was you. I didn't want him to touch me, everything he did was different than from your touch. And when I thought those men were going to kill us, all my thoughts went to you. You save me and I just couldn't bear the thought of being without you nor you without me. Even though I said we're partners, I mean we're in this together. I love you and I think I had since seeing you again that night at the dinner party. I wanted to run away from my feelings because I didn't want to be like my mom, but she's more than that. She's the rock that holds my family together and keeps my father sane. I know that now and I know that I can't deny my feelings for you. I enjoy us being together, and I love that you support me. You have lied to me sure, but when had you lied to me again? You had been truthful to me ever since and how can I lie to you about how I feel?" Jenna cried and he smiled at her.

"I love you too princess." He said as he moved to kiss her and then the tears that covered her cheeks. "What I said still stands." He told her as he removed her shirt and she nodded her head at him. "Love me until this goes away." She whispered.

"I'll love you even beyond that." He said. True to his word Cade made love to her hard and rushed like he had promised and then slow and methodical until they both passed out from sheer exhaustion. They embraced each other as if it was the first time they had each other until the early dawn, into a new day.
