The Maze Runner: Nicoles story

Chapter 8: Is this something?

I walk behind Newt to the kitchen when we get there I smell something horrible I hope it’s not the food. Newt opens the door and holds his hand on it so it doesn’t hit me in the face. Once I walk in all the people turn and look at me “it’s a girl!” one of them shouts “dibs” “Ow I dibs her” “no she’s mine klunk head” they all start yelling and dibsing me , “Ow all of ya, shut it nobody lays a hand on this girl or they’ll get banished” Newt yells and honestly I’m scared. “Alright were having a gathering tomorrow about her” after he says that nobody says anything. “This way Nicole” Newt says in his normal voice that makes me feel better, we walk over towards this door leading to the kitchen which Newt opens. The horrible smell sadly is coming from the kitchen, I see another boy over the stove, He is tall and has dark skin and black hair. “Ow what ya doin in my kitchen?” “Relax frypan she just woke up and needs some food” Newt says to the boy “didn’t we just get a girl, also I didn’t hear the box?” before Newt can say something I but in “I came from the maze” “really?” he says looking surprised “yea” “what’s your name?” “Nicole” “so you want some food I’m guessing?” “yes please” “Newt do you want something as well?” frypan says towards Newt who has a slight smile “yea thanks” “well here” he says while handing us a plate with two sandwiches, how do I remember what they are?  “thanks” I say and them follow Newt out the back door to find a table. “So how do you like it so far?” Newt says looking at me with a smile “well, it’s better than nothing” “yea, it gets better don’t worry” “so what are the creators?” “We don’t know, we don’t remember anything before we get in the box” “so where you the first glader?” “well me, Alby and a lot of other gladers woke up in here one day and we started from there” “wow, why would somebody just do that to a bunch of kids” “yea, your telling me” “so have you guys found like any clues yet to why you’re here?” im not even thinking about the food because I’m just full of questions, “Yea I guess, the runners have found a few things, anyway are you hungry or not?[SB1] ” Newt says with a slight laugh, I laugh as well with that Newt and I dig into are sandwiches.

I honestly think that Newt is amazing, I mean he’s the first person I could trust and he’s so beautiful. I mean he has his amazing blonde hair and his brown eyes that are just beautiful and his smile is so perfect, I do have feelings for him and I hope he does to. “Nicole?” he snaps me out of my daze, “Sorry, just thinking” “it’s starting to get dark, we might want to head back to the homestead” “yea, your right” with that we both get up and walk towards the building.

Newt P.O.V

I really like Nicole, even though I’ve only know her for a few hours she is perfect. Her hair which is chopped at the shoulders and is a dark blonde colour, her eyes are what stand out the most they are blue and light blue that you could see from a long distance but that’s what makes them beautiful. The part of her which stands out is her smile, I’ve never seen it before but she smiles with her eyes. I feel like I need to tell her but that would probably be too soon and she might think I’m weird. I feel something in front of me and stumble back, I ran into a tree, really newt in front of the girl you like. I can hear Nicole behind me laughing which is so beautiful I turn around and she is still laughing “hahaha so funny” I say in a sarcastic tone Nicole just keeps laughing “come on lets go we’re almost there” “okay but don’t run into any more trees” she says with a laugh and e keep walking towards the homestead.
