30| Rings

2 years later..

"VEE!" Colby yelled through our new house. "YEA?" Vee answered from upstairs in her room. "Come here!" Colby shouted. "OKAY!" Vee yelled.

After waiting a few minutes in the kitchen a small footsteps were heard running to the kitchen. "Yea daddy?" Vee says as she peeked from the side of the kitchen.  "C'mere" Colby said holding his arms out for Vee to jumped in which Vee gladly did.

He picked up the 3 years old in his arms. Vee kiss his cheek and look at him with a loving eyes. "Okay so daddy have something for mommy and I want you to see it first" Colby explained. Vee nodded vigorously, feeling excited about what Colby's going to show her.

Well, Colby think it's the perfect time to show Vee while you're out with Kat and Tara. Tara, Jake's girlfriend. Colby take a small red velvet box out if his pocket and put Vee on the counter but his strong arms were still around her protectively.

Vee look at the box intensively. "What in that?" Vee ask tilting her head to the side and pointing to the small red velvet box. "Lemme show you" Colby says as he open the box. Vee gasp and cooed at the ring.

"Pretty" Vee cooed, she was about to touch the ring but decided not to after thinking it was special for her dad. "Do you like it?" Colby ask Vee as if she was the one who's going to wear it, but Colby still thinks that he needs to get Vee's approval of it.

"YEAH!" Vee shrieked and claps her hands. "For mommy?" Vee ask after calming herself down. "Yes but don't tell her" Colby said putting a finger onto his mouth and making a 'shh' noise.

Vee giggled and does the same. "Okay, Daddy gonna keep this don't tell her" Colby warns playfully as he slipped the box back in his pocket.

"I think Mommy's gonna be home in a few mi-" Colby was interrupted by you yelling "I'M HOME!". Colby turn to Vee and gave her the 'told you so' face. Colby put Vee down and Vee ran towards you had some stuff in your grips. "Hey baby" You say to Vee you was trying to hug you.

Colby take the stuff out of your hand and put it on the coffee table. Then your arms are empty now Vee hugged you. "Hi Mommy!" She squealed. "Hi baby" you greet her and kiss her head.

"What did you and Daddy do today?" You ask entering the kitchen with Vee behind you. "We play dollies and wait for you to get home!" Vee explains. "Oh really? You did? Did you have fun?" You ask her as you take a glass of water.

"Yeah but I missed youu" Vee sings. You crouched down to her and she kisses your cheek. "Hey hey, did I missed something?" Colby ask getting into the kitchen smirking. "No you didn't!" Vee say. "Are you suree?" Colby ask with a goofy grin.

"Yeahh" You sing. "Okayy" Colby say. Then both of them started to smirk at each other and glance at you. "What?" You ask smiling at the twos. "Nothingg" Vee sings while giggling softly. "Suree" you said to her going back to the living room.
