Chapter 5

Getting accepted into class 1-A wasn't much of a surprise, neither was being ranked top for having the highest score of all the participants. I saw surprised when I got a special message from All Might himself with my acceptance letter.

"Young lady, although I'm honored to welcome you into the UA Academy, there are some issues I'd like to discuss with you before your school career begins! Please meet me at Dagobah Municipal Beach Park tonight, at 11 o'clock, don't be late!"

And with that, the message was over and I didn't know what to think. Was he going to talk to me about what I saw on the beach, or maybe he's gonna get back at me for hurting him! Thoughts began to fill my head, I felt like I was drowning. 

All I could think about is what my parents would say if they knew he saw me and I attacked him, they would hat me, be disappointed in me, kick me out like my fathers family did! I couldn't breathe, everything was turning dark, I fell out of my chair and fell onto the wood floor, and then, darkness.

time skip

I woke up in a jolt, my room was dark, I sat up and noticed the clock on my desk, 10:53, crap! Luckily both my parents were gone tonight, some fancy interview about the book they wrote together.

I quickly shoot off the floor and change as fast as I could. I pull on a black hoodie and black shorts and race out the door. I ended up being 2 minutes late. A small voice in my mind reminded me 

If you were a hero, people would have died in those two minutes, do better

I shake the thought out of my head and head towards All Might and who looked to be the green-haired boy standing on the beach with their feet in the water. I walk up to them and clear my throat. "I'm sorry I'm late sir, I promise it will never happen again and I'll train harder to become better!"

All might turns around and his piercing blue eyes meet with my dark e/c eyes."Young lady, no need to apologize, I don't expect you to be perfect, but we must talk about what you saw on this very beach." 

I nobbed and glanced over at the boy, his hair was so puffy and his emerald green eyes were so big! between his hair, eyes, and small freckles on both cheeks, I couldn't help but smile at him, he just looked so pure. When I smile at him a slight blush spread across his cheeks and a small giggle escaped his lips.

"Well young man?! Aren't you going to introduce yourself!?" The shoot up and held out his hand, "Ah s-s-sorry about that! I'm Izuku Midoriya! It's a pleasure to meet you!" I take his hand and shake it, "I'm y/n l/n! And the pleasures all mine!" I let go of his hand and turn back to All Might, "Sir I must apologize to you, I wasn't aware you would be on the beach that night, and I certainly didn't mean to attack and hurt you!"

I bow in front of him and wait to hear my fate,  but instead, I feel a large hand on my shoulder, then, in an instant, the hand become smaller. I look up and see the sickly man again. "A-a-all Might?"

"Yes, young y/n, I'm indeed All Might. I need you to promise you won't tell anyone about this. After a certain fight, I was hurt, badly, and since then I've started losing my strength, I am now training Midoriya here to replace me as the symbol of hope once I pass." I look up at All Might and nod, "I promise sir, I won't tell a soul. If there's anything I can do please, I'll do anything to help!"

"You are just like Midoriya, always wanting to help, and in fact, there is something you can help me with. I want you to help train Midoriya, I watched your performance at the exam and was very impressed,  you're strong and smart. You and Midoriya are going to be in class 1-A together and I need your help since I won't be around all the time."

I stare up at All Might with wide eyes and then look over at Midoriya, who looked confused and determined at the same time. "I would love to help, just tell me how! I don't know much about your quirk but from what I saw it's powerful, too powerful for your body, and the only way to fix that is to gain control of your quirk, cause you're obviously strong."

"I can tell that my decision to have you help was the best one I've ever had!" I look back at All Might and smile, "I'll try my best sir! But Midoriya, I'm going to need a detailed description of your quirk and how it affects you and your body!"

Midoriya looked at me and smiled a big toothy grin, "Wow y/n! You sure seem to know what you're doing!" I smile back at him, "My fathers a teacher and I've just l learned from him!"

And that was it! My journey to becoming a hero my parents would be proud of has begun! School will be starting soon and with that and the extra training I'll be doing with Midoriya is going to help him and I be the best we can be!
