Chapter 18

Todoroki and I stand back to back in our fighting stance. Although Todoroki's first move held them off, not all of them were stuck and some broke their way free. I break enough ice for me to run every step I take and make my way through my side of the crowd, touching and breaking as many villains as I can.

I make my way in a small loop and back to Todoroki's side, "be careful y/n, we don't know their quirks." I nod but focus on the crowd. Most of the ones I touched were hurt or down. It doesn't seem like they have any way to heal themselves, which is good.

"We need to get through them fast. We need to find the others and help Aizawa." Todoroki nods, "I agree, but we also need to worry about ourselves." He wrong, we need to focus on helping the others no matter what, because that's what heroes do!

With my anger and annoyance for Todoroki pulsing through me, I place my hands on the ground and build large walls around the weakest looking villains, trapping them in with no way to get out. "Get ready, I'm going to build a platform to give us some height, then we can both attack from there." Todoroki nobs and a platform starts to form under us, raising us up above the rest.

I use the height to scout the area. The strong looking villains seemed to be staying by handy and the dumb-looking bird. "Focus on us y/n, not them." I shake of Todoroki's comment and continue to build.

I build a large platform like structure and destroyed it, hoping the chunks of rocks and dirt would take out a could more and luckily it did. There were only a few left. "You got this Todoroki?" He nods and I watch as, with one large spikey ice wall, the rest of the villains were trapped from the neck down.

"Nice job, now let's go find the others!" I start destroying the pillar we were on when Todoroki grabs my hand, stopping me before we were on the ground. "What the hell man?! We got to go!" I sat but he only grips me tighter. "Why are you so hell-bent on getting to the others? They can fight for themselves, we need to focus on us."

"What do you mean, 'focus on us'. We're all done here. These guys aren't going anywhere!" I could feel him getting angry but I didn't care. "Ging over to Aizawa would only put us in more danger. We need to get out of here and find pros to help."

"Todorokoi shut up. You and I are the only two in this class who really know what villains think like. We can't run. I don't know what you're really thinking about but you need to get your head straight." Right as I say that I feel arms wrap around me and begin to be pressed into a cold body.

Todoroki wrapped his arms around me and buried his head in my neck. "I'm scared y/n. Not of the villains but of you. If you somehow end up getting hurt I'm not sure what I'll do." I pull myself closer to him hoping to find some warmth but he's still freezing. "I'll be fine, I'm strong. And with you fighting beside me there's no way I could get hurt! Now, let's go."

Todoroki releases me and I kneel down to finish our descent. When we reach the ground I quickly stand up and act on impulse for once. I stand up and pull Todoroki into me by the collar. Our lips met and I kiss him passionately, and after a second he kisses back.

when we release and take in a deep breath and rest my head on his chest. "Just a kiss for good luck!" I say before turning and running towards Aizawa. "Stop running away like that!" I hear Todoroki shout, but I keep running. The kiss was amazing, but I had more important things to focus on.

When I get to the center of the arena, I hide behind a small wall and look around. From the looks of it, there were only three dangerous-looking villains, the rest seemed to barely know how to use their quirk. Aizawa seemed to be doing fine. The loud crowd that once surrounded him was twice as small, and he didn't even seem tired.

As I looked across the open area I see Midoriya, Asui, and Mineta walking as well. I try to catch Midoriyas eye but it was no use, he was too into the fights around him to notice anything else. I refocus on the fight when I notice Handy running towards Aizawa, it's time for a real fight.

I look next to me and see Todoroki watching as well. Without looking he reaches over and grabs my hand, squeezing it when the villain gets a little too close for comfort to Aizawa, but he was holding his own, elbowing him right in the gut.

Handy must be speaking to Aizawa cause the stayed frozen for a while, did he figure out Aizawa's tell? No way. He was moving around too much for anyone to notice! I look at Aizawa's elbow where Handy was holding it and see grey spreading from his hand. His quirk must have something to do with decay because Aizawa's skin started to fall off revealing muscle underneath.

For such a weak-looking villain, he sure was strong. Aizawa erases his quirk before any more damage can be done and breaks from his grasps, but more villains attack him. I let go of Todoroki's hand and run into the battle. "I got these guys Aizawa! You keep your eyes on Handy!" I shout while forming walls and spikes around the villains. "y/n what are you doing, get out of here!" Aizawa shouts angerly.

"Not a chance sir," I respond, "you need help, you're getting tired." I run up to him and touch his elbow, healing it enough for him to fight and giving him a little more energy too. "Kick his ass sir!" I say and he nods.

"Did you just call me Handy?" The skinny villain says in a dry and raspy voice, "you are quite annoying kid!" and with that, he runs towards Aizawa and me again.
