Chapter 15

The smoothies were mediocre, nothing special about them at all. I only drank half of mine but Todoroki finished his. We started walking, nowhere, in particular, just walking. I walked next to Todoroki with my hands behind my back in silence while his hands were in his pockets and he focused up at the sky.

We walked in silence until I spoke up, "What's your father like? You never mentioned him today while we were talking but my parents said he's the Pro Hero endeavor. Why didn't you tell me?" I could feel him tense up as soon as I mentioned his father.

"I didn't mention him because I don't like talking about him. We don't have a good relationship." I nod in understanding. "I get it, parents suck," I say while looking down to the ground and sighing. "Do you really though?" He snaps back. 

"What the hell do you mean!" I snap back just as fast. "I mean your parents seem fine. Just cause we trained together once doesn't mean you know anything about me." I stop walking but he takes a couple of steps before stopping and turning to look at me. "You're right, I don't know much about you, and you don't know much about me either."

I turn around and start walking away before I feel a cold hand grab my wrist. "What the hell is your problem?" I hear Todoroki ask but I don't turn around to face him. "Nothing, I see you at school," I say while yanking my arm from him and heading home.

When I get home I head straight to the backyard and start running. I shouldn't have had that smoothie, I didn't need the extra sugar. I stop running and place my hands on the ground and build thin cylinder-like structures of all different heights around the yard and hope from one to another for a while.

I then started making new ones to work on how fast I could build, but it wasn't fast enough. I went to hope to the next platform but it didn't build fast enough and I fell down onto the concrete. I landed flat on my back and got the wind knocked out of me.

I couldn't breathe and it felt like someone was stabbing my back repetitively. I slowly roll over and place my hands on my back and begin to heal myself, but it was slow since I used a lot of my energy to build the platforms.

After a while, I finally caught my breath and my back felt well enough to sit up and move. I leave the mess in the backyard and slowly make my way inside and to my room. I lay in bed and close my eyes to rest but my phone starts buzzing. I pick it up and see Midoriya calling. I let it ring one more time before answering it.

"Hey y/n what are you doing?" He asked as soon as I answer, "Laying in bed, I just finished training. What's up?" I ask trying to get to the point of this random call. "All Might said he wanted to meet up later tonight. Can you make it?" 

"Yeah, did he say what it was about?"

"No, just that it's important." I nod and close my eyes again. "Okay, well I'll see you tonight then."

"Okay! See you later!" I hum in response and he hangs up. I slowly sit up and hear my moms heels clicking against the stairs and up to my door. "y/n you left the backyard a complete mess. Get out of your room and fix it." 

"Yes mother I say while slowly getting up and opening the door to see she's no longer there. I heal myself a little more and make my way back outside. I bend down and place my hands on the ground and watch as the structure shrink and the ground becomes flat again.

I fall back and feel tears stream down my face. What is my problem? I know I'm tired and all but I've never cried before. I lay there for a while and let the tears fall. I'm a mess I think to myself.

Time Skip

When I get to the beach I notice Midoriya and All Might were both already there. "What's with the random meeting," I ask when I walk closer to them. "We need to talk about class and Aizawa. He's keeping a close eye on you two, and I want both of you to know he is aware of our situation. But that doesn't mean he's going to be going easy on you two."

My posture stiffens and I nod. "Is that all you needed?" Midoriya asks in confusion. "No, I also want to warn you two that you're going to be under watch. Because of your relationship with me, and your quirks," I notice All Might glance over at me at that part, "you'll have many people after you to prove something. So keep an eye out. Villian activity may be low right now but that doesn't mean it will stay that way."

Midoriya and I nod in agreement and Midoriya asks, "so are we going to have people following us or something?" All Might let out a loud deep laugh, "no young Midoriya, you just need to be on high alert at all times."

"Oh okay! Sorry."Midoriya lets out a nervous laugh. "That's all, I'll see you guys at school tomorrow."
