Chapter 21

When I get home no one else was there. I couldn't help but wonder if my parents even knew what happened. I make my way to my room and straight to the shower. As I undress I notice a scar on my shoulder and another on my back. I sigh, just what I needed, another reminder of what happened.

I start the shower and feel cold water running down my body, it was refreshing, but I couldn't relax. Every time I close my eyes I see him, and sometimes it felt so real. I get out of the shower and dry off. I leave my hair down and call Todoroki. "Hey y/n, what's going on are you okay?"

I let out a small laugh, "I'm fine, I was just calling to see if you wanted to get together?" He hesitates before answering. "Yeah, I'll be over in 20."

"Okay, I'll see you then." I hang up and grab a tank top and loose athletic shorts. By the time I get downstairs, Todoroki was already at the door. I let him in he pulls me into a tight hug right away. "I'm glad you're okay. Watching you fight scared the living shit out of me." I hug him back and smile.

"Sorry about that, I couldn't stand by and Aizawa take on all of them." I pull away from him and walk out to the backyard ad sit down. He sits next to me and I lay my head on his shoulder. "I'm sorry y/n." I look up at Todoroki in confusion. "Why is everyone saying that?"

"Cause I am. I told you I would protect you, but you still got hurt. I mean look at you." He says while stroking the scar on my shoulder. "You were amazing, and all I could do was hide and watch."

I grab his hand from my shoulder and hold it up to his heart. "Can I tell you a secret?" I ask and he nods. "I was terrified, from the second I saw Nomo and Shigaraki to even now. I can't get his hand-covered face out of my head." I laugh as Todoroki smirks.

"I'm so sorr-" I cut him off before he could finish. "Don't even say you're sorry!" I stand up out of anger and walk out into the yard. "It's no one's fault that the Leauge of Villains decided to attack. It's no one's fault that I decided to fight. And it's no one's fault that I have a huge target on my back! I don't want to hear people apologize, and I don't want to talk about it anymore."

Todoroki wrapped his arms around me from behind and nuzzles his face into my neck. "Okay," He mumbles, sending chills down my back. "It's getting kinda chilly out," I say but feel a warm heat flowing through my body. "Better?" Todoroki asks.

I nod, "Yeah, thanks." I laid my head back on Todoroki and we stand there. "I could stay like this forever," I whisper just loud enough for him to hear. "Me too," Responds. For once I felt at peace, but it was short lasted.

"Wanna go inside?" Todoroki asks while letting go of me. I nod. We head inside and lay on the couch. "You know we got a week off. The principle decided it would be best to let the class recover."

I switch on the tv and lay my head on his lap. "I'm genuinely shocked, I was sure they would have us back to school and training right away."

"That's what everyone else was saying. Apparently, parents complained, so they thought it would be easier to give them what they want instead of listening to a bunch of angry parents complain."

"At least some parents care," I say. "I don't even think my parents know what happened. I haven't seen them since the morning of the attack." I feel Todoroki play with my hair, and it's the best feeling in the world.

"When I got home afterward my dad drilled me with questions, and the sad part is, most of them were about All Might." I closed my eyes relax as he massages my head. "If we leave, do you think they would even notice?" I ask and feel Todoroki laugh.

"Probably not. As soon as I have the chance, I'm leaving my dad behind." I can feel him tensing up. "What about your mom and siblings? Won't you miss them?"

"No. I'm the youngest and my siblings are never home anyway, and my moms not in the picture." I sit up and look him dead in the eyes. "Why not?" He explains to me how his father bought his mother and was a total ass to her.

He then told me about the scar and the story behind that. My heart shattered when he told me about his mother. I placed my hand on the burn scar over his left eye. I trace his face with kisses before finally landing on his lips.

We kissed passionately. I felt warmth run through me, it was incredible, I felt alive, like nothing could ruin this moment. Todoroki was the first to pull away, breathing heavy and looking at me with his beautiful eyes.

I push him down and lay on top of him. "I'm beat, can you stay the night?" I ask, resting my head on his chest, breathing in his cologne. "If you want me too."

"Well I do," I say as I wrap my arms around him and close my eyes.

This was perfect.

I don't remember when it happened, but it did. I fell for this boy, he was the only one who could chase away my new demons, he was.... My Hero.
