We were walking to the beach, feeling the breeze in our faces. Everything felt magical there.
Joe: is everything okay? You've been thoughtful lately
Nick: yea
Joe: how are you about Priyanka and that?
Nick: oh, I'm actually really fine. I haven't thought about her during the day
Joe: maybe cause you've been concentrated in other thing (he said smiling once we arrived to the party)
Nick: no, I haven't
Joe: really?
Nick: really
Joe: so, I don't wsnt to see you smile now, then
Nick: why would I smile? (He looked behind me and when I looked at what he was looking at I failed)
I so smiled. And like a fool.
Demi and Sophie were walking to us but taking selfies and dancing together while doing it.
Joe: see? Told ya. You've been thinking of her, huh? (I looked at her again and just felt alive) don't worry, your secret is safe with me
Sophie: babe (she kissed his lips)
Joe: look at you? You are the most beautiful woman on earth (he said making her roll on her feet)

Demi: thank you (Sophie and her took off their shoes when the music started cause we were in the sand) you should do it too
Nick: nah, I shouldn't
Demi: yes, you should
We four danced all night feeling young and free again. This was life. Just me, my brother, his wife and my Demi dancing together in the sand and feeling the air brushing our hair at midnight. I was happy again when I saw her big smile light up the night. She was my angel. I had no doubts about it.
Sophie: guys, we're heading to the cabin
Joe: you can stay a little more if you want (he winked at me)
Demi: yea, go ahead lovers...just remember that there's a baby in there (she pointed to Sophie's belly and we all laughed)
Sophie: anyways, have fun guys
Nick: we will (they left us alone and Demi started dancing closer to me)
Demi: this is amazing, huh?
Nick: yea, I haven't feel this happy in more than a year
Demi: that's because you're with me now (I smiled and she hugged me) I missed this. I missed being just us against everyone and everything.
Nick: I missed this too. Truly. (She smiled and a light was turned in our direction as the slow music started)
Demi: what now?
Nick: I don't know (I whispered in her ear)
Demi: I do...run! (She exclaimed and we started running to the house)
When we arrived there, the sun was slowly rising and we were laughing, smiling. Living our best lives. We entered to the house in silence and walked to our room closing the door behind us.
Demi: grab my phone and headphones after you get in bed
Nick: what for?
Demi: I don't wanna listen to them in our first night here, do you? (I shook my head and she laughed walking to the bathroom)
I laid in bed under the sheets after changing my clothes, grabbed her phone and started listening some music.
Demi: hey, wait for me (she climbed next to me and moved my arm to my side)
Nick: what are you doing?
Demi: nothing to worry about (she said as she rested her head in my chest again. I smiled unconsciously and we started listening to chill music while I caressed her head)
Nick: Dem?...Dem...Demi (I looked at her face and saw her eyes closed with calm) oh, alright. Sleep well fluffy little lion...love you (I murmured and I swore to see a small smile playing on her lips) damn (was my last whisper before falling into dreamland)
