"Dakota your going to be late if you don't get out of bed right this exact second!!!" Ugh. That is Blake my 20 year old brother attempting to get me out of bed. AGAIN. But little did he know that nothing and I mean NOTHING can get me out of bed this morning. Why, you might ask because it is MONDAY. And anyone who has ever lived knows why Monday's are the worst thing ever. I groaned and attempted to fall back to sleep. But I guess Blake has a pretty good strategy, because once I'm awake, I cannot fall back to sleep. So I got up, and put on some high waisted black leggings, my favorite sweatshirt, tube socks and some sandals. I really wasn't in the mood for doing anything fancy, so I put my hair up in a messy bun and looked into the mirror. I have blonde hair, that is like down to my butt and naturally like stick straight. Sometimes I want it to be curly, but hey you get what you can get. I am thin, not super tan, and around 5,3. My phone buzzed and it scared the heck out of me. Someone texted me:

COLE:

Hey sweetie almost ready?

I love Cole. He is so sweet! He is 4 inches taller than me, super handsome and a gentleman. We met in the 7th grade. It was the first day of JR High, and I was sitting alone on my way to school. The bus screeched as we made an unexpected stop in the middle of the road. I looked out the window and saw a light haired boy who looked around my age running to the side of the road where the bus was stopped. he was one of those boys where nobody thought he was cute, and you seemed to be the only one who noticed the way his hair flowed in the wind, or the way that he tapped all his fingers behind his back when he was nervous. I seemed to be the only one who seemed to notice the little things about him that made him so perfect in my mind. he rushed onto the bus and apologized to the driver. I noticed how he smiled at everyone even those who glared at him. The front of the bus was packed with kids, and toward the back it got more and more deserted. I tried to duck my head down because I didn't want him to see me. I was surprised when he passed everyone in the front, passed all of the empty seats, and sat right down next to me.

"Hi!" He said to me. "Um.. hey." I replied shocked that someone like him was actually speaking to me. "I'm Cole Parker. what's your name?" I was super flustered, but I managed to remember my name. "Umm I'm Dakota Hill."

From that day on, the last seat in the bus was ours. On Valentine's Day, he held my hand, on the last day of school he hugged me, and on the Fourth of July when we were on his roof all alone, he kissed me right as the fireworks went off. We've been together ever since. He is my best friend and I don't know what I would do without him.

I finally texted him back:

Yeah sorry I'll be out in a minute!

I rushed downstairs, grabbed a price of toast, and ran out the door. I saw Cole sitting in his silver Jeep waiting for me to come. He had bought that car last month on the day he turned sixteen and has drove me to school everyday since. "Babe, You look really good!" I said. He did I wasn't lying. He was wearing a button up short sleeve shirt with shorts that are slightly rolled up at the bottom. His hair is the same as usual, it's light brown, with perfect natural blonde hilights, and it is perfectly pushed back, even though I can tell he only very quickly brushed it out. I smiled at him and held his hand as he turned on the engine. he turned on our song (Chasing Cars- Snow Patrol) and we sang together the whole way to school.
